Fix the ads that take over the forum
So...is anyone going to fix the ads at the bottom that keep taking over the forum pages?
I cant even read a page without it taking me to the bottom and keeping me there!!
Even trying to type a comment it keeps taking me to the bottom of the page and holding me under...
I cant hold my breath forever...


Please fix this shit!

How do you know? This exact same thing has happened before (google turn.com and malware) due to malware. Our ads are served by Google who claims to no longer serve Flash ads. I have been told these are Flash ads. So that leaves two possibilities. It's malware or its a huge screw up by Google.

Confirmed happening on Windows10, in Firefox and Chrome.

Confirmed happening on OS X 10.12.3 in Firefox, Chrome, Safari.
Confirmed happening on Android 6 in Chrome.

Happens with Malwarebytes Premium actively running and updated. Other various malware/spyware scanners failed to catch anything.

Unfortunately, Adblock is an easy, immediate, and reliable solution.

Agreed. I've replicated it on 4 different computers (one of which is essentially a clean install of Windows with no Chrome extensions) and 3 different browsers. Malwarebytes comes up clean.

It's never happened to me in Firefox here at work. I have ublock origin but CP is whitelisted. I see the ads down at the bottom. Right now it's WorldofTanks and 4 foods I must not eat. It seems like it's just Chrome

Nope. I've pretty reliably gotten them to show up on Chrome, Firefox, IE, and Edge.

Part of my job is to identify and prevent malware. I have reproduced the issue on proven sterile systems over a range of OSes and browsers. I guarantee you it's not malware.

Interesting. I use an ipad at home and haven't seen there on chrome either.

Now that I'm looking I do notice I get some ads that don't seem to load properly on my PC. That specific ad also has what looks like a play button and it seems to "-refresh-" itself



I'm getting this ad like every refresh though. Well, sometimes I get two good ones and sometimes I get a free HUD disclosure ad that is by itself.
