I'd just as soon see them get humiliated, because that's how they played after it was 2-0. Lazy and resting on their lead, and Crawford had, well, I don't even need to go into his night, it's in black and white in the final score.

Don't even get me started on the defensemen- a unit that has left Crawford in shit situations countless times. He's been awesome for a lot of the time, but damn he definitely has his games where it looks like he has no business in net.

At this point, I still have confidence in his play because these hiccups have happened before and he's come up big time and again, and able to put it behind him and not shake his play going forward. The cornerback mentality- you have to forget the last play even if you just got torched.

Better than a 3-2 loss, imo, because it sends a wakeup call, I hope, that this will not be a series they can just "skate through", and it's not getting any easier going on the road where Quinney won't have the luxury to make final subs for matchups.

Also, maybe it's just me, but these 2 opening games have been the worst officiated of the entire playoffs so far. Or, am I in the minority?

That surprised me. Even before they lost the lead they looked like someone punched them right in the face. Like they thought LA was going to fold after 2-0.

Well the Ducks won games 3 and 4 at Staples, so I don't really think being at home is all that big of a deal. The bigger deal was getting over the mental hurdle of winning in Chicago.

Maybe we can play these games in Anaheim?

In all seriousness, the most encouraging thing was LA's power play. It's been weak all year...now it seems to be coming together.

Toffoli and Pearson are really raising their level of play when it matters most, and Quick was pretty amazing.

It's fun to at least root for one team who knows how to play when it matters.

Crazy. If the Canucks lose OT they're toast if they weren't already. Gut check time.

Odd that instead of a Sunday afternoon spot they are putting the Habs and Rangers against the NBA at 7 PM central.

Maybe a conflict with arena bookings ?
