Movies

Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

It's definitely not as strong as either of those but it's essentially the love story of 500 Days with Juno's quirkiness.

Your post finally got me to sit and watch it after being in my queue for a long, long time.

Chilling, really. Very well made and the mission impossible aspect helps recommend it to the average viewer.

I wonder what has happened since this release.

For some reason I was bored earlier and watched Transformers 2. It was worse than I had expected but had some solid unintentional comedy. What a brutal script.

Terrible, terrible movie. In the thread for Transformers 3, a story references Michael Bay partially blaming the writer's strike for the horrible script. Wonder what his excuse will be if 3 sucks donkey balls?

At times it was ok but mostly hated it. The second half took effort to make it through. Seems like it tried really hard to be different and I appreciate the effort there and the cast was mostly solid enough. Just didn't work for me at all.

For anyone that liked the movie, the blu ray was pretty good on both audio and visuals.

That's too bad. Probably on my top ten list. Well, maybe top 15. I'd have to actually sit down and do a list, which I refuse to do.
