My lst conversation with my friend in the AD, the plans and estimates will come out after the basketball season. Appropriate, as we have to get the track moved over there first, before we can rip out the track at Memorial.

Oh, and BTW, we're building a track and field team...winning a National Championship is a good thing.

Charlie gets one more season. We'll get another win, most likely ISU. Alumni are getting propped with a 100 million + stadium reno, and they don't want a 7.5 mill coaching buyout on top of that. (Sorry, don't mean to be an asshole, but you hear things).

Best bet - Charlie has a decent 3rd year, and gets called back up to the NFL as an OC. Deals are made, KU has no buyout. Zenger has a second shot without a bruise on his chin. Next coach has decent recruits and reasonable expectations.

I guess I don't see how you raise $100m with such a terrible product to sell. And Z has "Z"-ero credibility right now as a fundraiser. I'd never give any money to that guy right now after the Weis disaster.

Also I don't see why you're confident beating Iowa State in Ames, we will be 10 point dogs. They nearly beat TCU and Texas at home, I doubt we outplay those teams there. Most likely our only shot to win is Saturday.

What talent base is he leaving? He's got a ton of juco guys who won't even be around for the next guy. Our best hope is he quits in frustration/exhaustion and we re hire Mangino. Since our admin would never do that maybe they could make a run for Bohl at NDSU. Making $205k with a 410k buyout:

I'd disagree. Kansas State is a 10.5 point favorite against TCU this weekend and will be a 2+ TD favorite against ku in Larryville. We will also be favored against 0u in Manhattan by 4 or less. Ku will be a dog against all 3 remaining opponents.
