Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

This is the holster I'm getting for the .45 (mine's on backorder, this one's borrowed) a Comp-Tac Minotaur Gladiator. Kydex in front, leather in back, and you can attach it to your belt without taking the belt off, which is nice.

That's pretty. You and I need to go shooting one of these days.

Yes, yes we do. I gotta find some ammo first.

Believe me, I would have never bought the .45 if we weren't reloading.

I have two more payments left on my truck and then I can pay pretty much what ever is required to stay loaded.

That being said, reloading really interests me and would be a very useful thing to know just from a survival stand point. But something tells me I don't have the patience for it.

It takes patience, time and a ton of cash to get started. I couldn't have done it on my own. It's also nice to have a master gunsmith help you get started.

Yeah, I don't see me seriously thinking about it for some time. I'll just get the truck paid off and get my decent tax return back and start loading up on ammo. And more toys to shoot it.

Nice Kimber!

I originally set out to get a Kimber .45 but the only models I could find in stock (after visiting 5 diff stores) were the smaller CC variants.

Once I layed eyes on the S&W I decided to go for it instead.

After shooting 8 rounds through it today I am glad I went with what I did.

I still want a Kimber... eventually. They are so damn sexy.

They are damn sexy, and one of the best built 1911s out there. I actually wanted my first 1911 to be the more traditional blued and wood handle but, didn't like the options in the gun case at that time that met that desire. And there was this Kimber with some major eye appeal.... Hell, I was compulsive buying in the first place, might was well go all out and spend the extra money for the extra quality.

Nice, I'm tracking my 10 boxes of 10mm which will be here Wed. I got a hell of a deal, but it took 3 weeks for those strokesticks to ship it. When that arrives, I'm done buying ammo, unless I see the mother of all deals on something. I'm stocked to the hilt on ammo for every gun I own. (Perhaps it's time to buy a few more so I can start all over )

I feel the exact same way. If I could have found a full size Kimber 1911 it would have been in my case right now.

The good ones are hard to find right now. At least in my area.

From what I'm seeing, just about everything is hard to find right now.
