Croyle's Throws?
I have a question, and it may be stupid, but what the heck...

I noticed that a number (6+?) of Croyle's passes were tipped by the defensive players? Considering the velocity of these passes in comparison to Huard, is Brodie throwing the ball too hard, thus giving the ball a rather flat trajectory, thereby allowing the defender to get his hand on it?

Just curious.

I think it has more to do with the empty backfield/no attempt to run design of those plays more than ball trajectory..

The last thing anyone needs to do is complain about Croyle having more batted balls than Huard, or the fact that he's throwing the ball hard.

He made 3-4 passes today that if Huard would have attempted, would have been picks, namely the out patterns.

Post 2 is a pretty good reason. Croyle doesn't have a sidearm delivery, and we didn't even ATTEMPT to run the ball while he was in (nor could we). When that' the case, guys who don't get pressure will be leaping as soon as they see the QB set his feet.

Huard's passes have an arc, because he doesn't have Croyle's arm strength.

Croyle threw some darts today... pin-point accurate throws that Damon could never make.
