Philly Cheesteak Sammich in Wichita - Page 2

I used to love this place called Sub & Stuff... they had the best friggin philly cheesteaks in history.... well, Wichita at least.

Since they have been closed down for several years now I have had to endure several restaurants who "think" they can do a philly right. So far noone has come even close.

Anyone here know of any good places that make a good philly here in Wichita?

Either that or a killer Pastrami & Swiss sammich.

Any Restaurant - GAG... I'm tired of people trying to make the Philly a fancy sammich.

I think the only one left is in Stanley. Kick ass philly cheesesteak sammiches. They use philidelphia cream cheese in the sammich.

There used to be a place on West street called Grinder man. They had good subs. That was 5 years ago so, i have no idea if its still there.

You could be the solution to the lack of a great Philly in Wichita. They have damn good food and they're franchising.

Sub and Stuff.

There was a place in the food court at the mall in Witchita off of Rock Road that had awesome cheesesteaks. Was that the name of the place? If it was, that's too bad. Great sammiches.

I know this doesn't help anyone here, but if you're ever in Philly you need to get a realy cheesesteak. I swear there is a difference. I don't know what it is, because there are local shops around here in Central PA that are damn close, but for some reason the one's I've had on South Street are that much better.

One place in particular, can't recall the name, Johnny's or something, was AWESOME. NOt only was it a good sandwich but you get the authentic Philly experience. You step right up to the grill and order with one of the cooks. And you have to know what you want or they mock you and make you get back in line...which is long.
