if I were you I'd probably look for all resis pieces and stack those. I'm a monk, so I can pick a resis and use one with everything to make them all the same. Which is nice, but I'm only at 350 resis across the board. I'm trying to find the right pieces to upgrade that without sacrificing other stuff, it's a process...

monks have a passive skill called one with everything, it takes your highest resis and makes them all that.

If you don't have resists, you're going to die way way more. build you resists over 800 for sure (for inferno) and you'll drastically knock down your deaths.

Too many champions have molton, plague and other elemental shit that's really hard to avoid.

EDIT: And your life is very very low for a lvl 57

Drunkie is the resident master of demon hunters, you may want to ask him.

he is right. resist does crap for us. demon hunter is prolly the most squishy class in the game. you will pretty much die in 1 shot to anything an everything. so stock all the damage you can and hope to kill it before it kills you.

there are builds where people have basically made tanks. stacked resist and got a good bow with life stealing.this let them live past some shit. but they still get 1 shot by alot of shit still. it is one of them things it is all or nothing. you can't just half ass stack resist. you gotta be full blown resist with life steal.you turn into a tank.at the end of the day they still get 1 shotted and do far less damage, plus they spent a ton more on gear for nothing

looking at your stats. your damage is way low. also look at your speed and crit also very low. as for life i like to keep above 30k. you will still get one shotted by everything, but this gives you a lil buffer when killing elites. there sparks won't just nuke you

once you damage is up around 100k an life is above 30k resist on gear is a bonus but it really best to be viewed as just a bonus an not a must have because it will not stop you from being killed.

get some boots with faster walking speed. this will help you kite. your damage really should be around the 30k range at your size. ss is still very useful sir. this is your life line.

also that gem in your hat should be replaced with a purple. that plus to exp really not worth it. you get a huge chuck of life from the purple gem in your hat

this is my stats. i am wearing my gold find gear so my stats are a lil off but you still can get the idea.i spent all my gold as you can see i am broke right now so i need to farm gold.

look at my speed i like to keep that about 2.0 after that speed stops being as great of a buff an crit damage becomes a much more useful stat. crit damage i like to keep around 300k- 400k. i badly need a new bow with stats. this bow does damage but has no stats. need one with a socket, faster attack speed and life stealing.

off to the money grind

but the price of good stuff is just going to keep going up with the latest patch.
It still works. You just can't mindlessly mash the SS button any more. You have to time when you use it. SS with lingering fog and prep with backup plan is still a MUST have for DH.

After reading through a lot of this thread, and reading all the reviews on Amazon, gamespot, and other places I am so glad I didnt spend $60 on this. I'll pick it up if it ever gets a server crack or when it comes down to $30.

the game is only online play. so to get a release that doesn't have online play would really take someones rewriting alot of code. good luck getting that. even with the retail copy there is no offline play

I thought the same thing, and Sofa gave me a guest pass and I was hooked. It's well worth $60 despite the server issues. They will be non-existent soon, and I doubt this game hits $30 any time in the next couple years. Maybe for a one-day sale.

Really, it's a hell of a lot of fun. I've put in 40+ hours and still want to play it. Usually only RPGs hook me for that long.

The online thing sucks if they're having server issues or whatever. And it's bullshit... but it's still fun and addictive as hell. It's also very simplistic.. but that's Diablo. It always was.
