Very few non-bronco fans can tolerate him. he creates inane threads that are homeristic in nature (his avatar is very apropos), and nobody loves him (not even his own mother)

'face, this can be the home for all knowmo threads so we aren't treated to the bi-weekly steaming 'presents' left by the front door.

Oakland gets better simply by making the QB switch, they have a ton of work to do, but maybe Campbell brings and extra something to the table that they have really missed.

KC and Denver both have made interesting moves... we've discussed them all in depth, no need to repeat.

I think SD obviously has the best change (right now) to hit 10-12 wins... but, the other three teams should make it more competitive without question.

I think we're a good year away from getting back to really solid divisional play in the AFCW.
I can agree with that.I'm still not sold on Campbell though, even though I agree on Oak getting better by moving on from JaPorkchop.

I don't know... it's really hard to judge him, I mean WAS was a mess and now he's in another mess.

But, he has improved each year - http://www.pro-football-reference.co...C/CampJa00.htm

Never more INT than TDs... Completion Rate / Yards / TDs ... they've all increased each year. I think he has good upside, but I don't know that OAK is the ideal team for him to prove it.

But, OAK is still much better off...

From Michael Lombardi who attended Denver's OTA the other day. He also said he was really impressed with Brady Quinn and thinks he will be the starter once the regular season starts.

So, Kyle Orton was so great last year that not only did Denver trade for a QB they intend to start, but they also reached for one in the first round.

Orton played just as well as Matt Cassel did for the Patriots in 2008. He isn't a "franchise QB" but he is a solid starter. McDaniels said that he wants the best player on his football team to be the QB. That is why he brought in Brady Quinn and drafted Tim Tebow.

Fair enough. I was under the impression that you thought of Orton as a "franchise" guy.

All I know is that Orton continues to get a bad rap... he's not an elite franchise guy, but there aren't many in the league right now. There were many things wrong with Denver last year... Orton catches more heat than he deserves.

I'm fine with the best player winning the spot, but it's not Tebow right now... and likely won't be for another year. Quinn... I dunno, he has a small body of work from CLE and that's not exactly a place many QBs can thrive consistently.

We'll see what happens, but I'm not getting caught up in OTA and training camp fodder tidbits from the talking heads. It is Orton's job to lose... we'll see if the R1 picks sitting behind him can win the job.

So well coached they started 6-0 last year, dropped 8 of 10, and failed to make the playoffs? Got it.

I like Josh's program. I think player development is critical, I think there's going to be 2 or 3 players that nobody knows about on every team that has to come through, and when you watch Denver practice, you see their after practice, how they coach the players and how they try to get their young players up to speed is really impressive and I think they are gonna win.

I think what Denver has as an organization is a unique situation like they had with Mike (Shanahan) is they have a guy who can coach a QB in Josh McDaniels. And Josh can develop a QB.

I thought McBath looked good the other day. I thought he was really impressive in terms of his range, his athleticism in the practices that I watched on Monday. I left that complex thinking that McBath was a good player. I think Ayers will be a much better player this year and I think certainly Moreno is going to be a very talented guy. I would say Damaryius Thomas is going to impact this football team greatly. I talked to too many NFL teams that watched Demaryius Thomas play that they were gonna draft this guy early in the draft. I think that he was in a run offense in college helps him because he doesn't have any bad habits. I think he can come in and run what they want him to do, he's extremely smart, he can make plays down the field, and after watching practice they are trying to throw the ball up the field, they're trying to make more plays vertically and I think Damaryius Thomas is gonna give them a lot of impact and I think that certainly will help their offensive gameplan. I think he can develop into a big time, BIG TIME player, in terms of being able to run with the ball after the catch and on the third level coming down with the football.
Some more Broncos love from Mike Lombardi.

That is not a good sign for the AFCW. The Dumervil/Ayers tandem could be lethal this year.

I'm sure I've not met anyone as intelligent as him at quarterback. He's been a great leader. He can make all the throws. His recognition of the defense at the snap of the ball is freaky, incredible. He sees things the way Kurt used to see them. He came to me with a completely open mind about this offense, and every day when I come to work, he's ready to learn. It tickles me.
