I can remember playing Diablo 2 non-stop. I used to come back to the dorms on my lunch break and play.....and then I would come home from work and play until it was time to go out and drink.

That shit was awesome.

Diablo III Gets A Demon Hunter Class

Diablo III's fifth character class is the Demon Hunter, Blizzard announced at BlizzCon 2010 today.

Chris Metzen, Vice President of Creative Development at Blizzard Entertainment, told a packed hall of Blizzard fans that the fifth and final class for upcoming Diablo III will be a dual-crossbow wielding Demon Hunter.

The Demon Hunter appears to be the Diablo III successor to the Rogue from the original Diablo and the Amazon from Diablo II. The ranged class features a major focus on projectiles, including throwing knives, grenades, bola, and bows, some of which can be combined with magic spells.

The game's other four classes are the Barbarian, the Witch Doctor, the Wizard, and the Monk.

The sequel to popular action role-playing game Diablo II was announced at Blizzard's World Wide Invitational in France in the summer of 2008. Since its unveiling, Blizzard has regularly updated the game's frenzied fans on the latest developments for the game. They haven't, though, ever announced a hard release date.

See the Demon Hunter in action here and don't miss the rest of our BlizzCon 2010 coverage.

We now know all all five classes for Diablo III.

Let's take a minute to check out the last class to be unveiled for the upcoming action role-playing game, the Demon Hunter, in action.

Diablo 3 is THE GAME that I'm waiting for. The demon hunter, monk, and witch doctor look great so I give Blizzard kudos for originality on those and not going back to an old standard like Paladin.

Vice President of Blizzard, Rob Pardo, has said the company’s goal is to get Diablo 3 out by the end of 2011, but that Blizzard are happy to delay the game to “get it right.”

Responding to questions from Kotaku about whether Diablo 3 could come out this year, Pardo said “we really, really hope so. That’s our goal. Our goal is to get there. But you know, at the end of the day, we are going to get it right. That’s more important.”

“We’re going to promise, we’re going to get it out there when it’s awesome. And, we’re crossing our fingers, maybe it will be this year.”

Diablo 3 is looking great. If you want to see more of the game, Blizzard are offering to reveal more exclusive screenshots in exchange for likes on Facebook. For a few reasons to get excited about the game, check out our preview.

Sounds like they're "trying" for 2011, but most likely it will be 2012. Hopefully the 1Quarter.

They already said if it's not 2011, it will definantly be 2012.

i just hope they don't dumb it down for the masses.

i want the character building to have tons of synergies and it should have to be built well to survive at higher levels.

it's so irritating when it doesn't really matter how you build your character because the game is so easy you can just fake it.

no sorceress and no teleport is soooooooooooooooo sucky.

no MF runs FTMFLx11111111111111111!!!!!!!!!11xeleventybillion
