Staind National Anthem

Aaron Lewis lead singer for band Staind blows Star Spangled Banner at game 5 of World Series. Though he apologized profusely he did completely rip Christine Aguilara for botching Super Bowl National Anthem. Paybacks is a bitch.
You would think these supposed professionals might study a bit after accepting this honor instead of just winging it before 40,000 +. I bet old neck tattoo would be pissed if the artist misspelled whatever that thing on his neck means.

I just hope we can get another washed up nu-metal type for Game 7.

I wonder if Jonathan Davis is available.

I've gotten the stink-eye at Royals games for not removing my hat, and for not standing. I go along with those things out of respect for veterans and such during the national anthem.

But God Bless America is not the national anthem, so I feel no need to do that. It is just a song. Next, it'll be that ****ing horrible Lee Greenwood song.

I think the whole tradition is really stupid. Same thing with the Pledge of Allegiance shtick. I love my country, but why do I have to pledge to anything each morning? And God forbid somebody declare that they don't think it's essential, because they'll immediately be labeled a Toby Keith hating terrorist.

The point is to pay tribute to the ideas and people who long before you sacrificed a lot of time, effort, and sometimes their lives so that you could have the right to bitch about how ridiculous it is you would have to put out such a massive amount of effort to show a little bit of respect.

That doesn't make you a terrorist, it makes you self centered, self absorbed, and shallow.

If they insist on a patriotic song during the 7th inning stretch, I would be much more likely to stand and give respect to Mr. David Lee Roth.

I do admit, it was more than a little weird for a British kid to recite the Pledge of Allegiance when I was in school.

I think this could catch on.

Yankee Rose

Are you ready for the new sensation?
Well, here's the shot heard 'round the world
All you back room boys salute when her flag unfurls

Well, guess who's back in circulation?
Now, I don't know what you may have heard
But what I need right now's the original good time girl

She's a vision from coast to coast
Sea to shining sea
Hey, sister, you're the perfect host

Show me your bright lights in your city lights, all right
I'm talkin' 'bout the Yankee Rose
Bright lights in your city lights, all right
I'm talkin' 'bout it

When she walks, watch, the sparks will fly
Fire crackin' on the fourth of July
No sad songs tonight, something's in the air

Real state of independents
So pretty when her rockets glare
Still provin' any night that her flag is still there

She's a vision from coast to coast
Sea to shining sea
Hey, sister, you're the perfect host

Show me your bright lights in your city lights, all right
I'm talkin' 'bout the Yankee Rose
Bright lights in your city lights, all right
I'm in love with the Yankee Rose

Ah, she's beautiful, alright
Mmm, nothin' like her in the whole world
Yeah, she's right on time, I'm on the case
Pick up the phone, no time to waste
She got the beat and here's a little bit comin' your way

I would've been surprised if you said you stood up in respect and took off your hat.

This is what we expect from you cosmo.
