I'm not going to say that it will interfere with his ability to be a great GM - afterall, that attitude and style can be put to good use if it's directed in the right fashion.

But it is certainly different and is probably going to be offputting to many of us at times.

If he doesn't win in the next 3 years, just wait - he'll get that 'arrogant prick' tag just as badly as ***** did.

It's just something worth watching, that's all. If he handles everyone like that, he's going to have some unhappy staff and I'd really hate to see that. I think that's part of the problem with the ***** regime, that poison atmosphere really does trickle down to all parts of the team, including the roster. I hope we don't have that again, even if it's by accident.
Let's be honest. Aren't most GM's somewhat arrogant prics anyways?

I'd still rather boot his ass out anyways even if he played for free. Him and Cassell are the signature failures of the Pioli era and just need to disappear.

If you have a replacement lined up that's already on the team or available in free agency fine.

I'm not wasting another god damn draft pick on a DE.

You could probably find an UDFA to give you that level of suckitude.

To me, I see the stereotypical stupid jock. Now, I don't think he's an idiot, but it's clear that he struggles to maintain "GM speak" in front of the mic; he fumbles around so damn much that he makes me feel embarrassed for him.

It is different and I don't know where I'm at yet. Makes me wonder if this is the reason that Hunt says he will be much more involved. Could he be moving in the Jerry Jones direction when it comes to putting forth the face of the franchise? That's what I think, and if its not the plan it will be soon LOL

main problem with this is that Tjax didn't suck

He clearly wasn't worth where he was drafted but he did a decent job at what he was asked to do. I also saw some flashes of something better when he has a chance to be more aggressive.

He's not worth 14 million per but i would be interested to see what he can do in a 1-gap at something like 4 million per. I doubt he takes a cut like that though so he will probably be gone.

If T-Jax were a 3rd round pick, he'd have been an adequate pick. Not a good one, but an adequate one. Laz is right - he didn't totally suck (all the time), but he damn sure wasn't good either. He's one of those replaceable players that you look to upgrade but every team has (even the good ones).

That's why you try to re-structure him. In the end, however, if you can't get him to agree to a market rate for an average DE, you cut him and go sign another DE at the market rate for that ability.

He's not a guy you worry about one way or the other.

"Tyson - this is what we'll pay you"
"No, I won't take a paycut"
"Okay...well we're gonna need your playbook"

It's not a decision that worries me in the slightest. Either he'll take a cut to the market rate for this position and ability or he won't and we'll bring someone in here that makes sense for that contribution. Works for me.

With his lack of savvy in front of the media, Dorsey is the perfect type of match for a coach like Reid. The latter will always be the face of the franchise in terms of coaches/FO types, and Dorsey is essentially forced to stick to what he knows and does best, acquiring personnel.

Pioli used to talk about wanting the coach to be the face, but that was disingenuous bullshit; he wanted the accolades and attention.

Dorsey's ineptitude with the mic obviates this potential problem.

You hope that Dorsey is a personnel savant, because he's probably not speaking at the Sloan Kettering conference any time soon.
