Movies

Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

The spoiler tag loads the image as soon as you open the thread (caching it), but just shows it as being collapsed.
My point was that anybody who's posting from an environment in which their browser image cache is searched and scanned with image detection software by work or a Big Brother entity, is going to get in equal amount of trouble for viewing pages with links to inappropriate material. It's much easier for Big Brother type software to flag links to inappropriate material, than to actually scan an image that resides in the browser cache on the user's hard drive. I don't believe anybody posting here is actually posting from an environment in which they're under those kinds of restrictions and checks, because there's hundreds of other things that would be flagged as inappropriate. If you're posting from somewhere with those kinds of rules, you have no business logging into CP at all. Images in the browser cache would be one of the last things somebody would realistically get in trouble for while viewing this site. And that's ignoring the fact that the type of software that would catch a jpg of boobs in someone's browser cache is basically unheard of in all but the most strict of workplaces. Unless you work in a top secret government agency, or your wife has secretly installed Nanny/Infidelity software, you're not realistically going to have your browser cache searched with image scanning detection software.

The only real risk regarding pics is getting CP flagged by somebody like Google for hosting inappropriate material from another site that's been flagged. And in that case, it doesn't matter whether the link has spoiler tags or img tags or just the link, it's flagged just the same. That scenario is a thousand times more likely to actually happen.

People who's browser cache might be scanned should avoid CP altogether. And it's their own damn fault if they don't. I don't believe that applies to anybody here anyway.

Just finished "The Hunger Games."

I absolutely hated the ending. Ruined the whole film for me.
UGH. It's like the writers ran out of time.

I have a shitload in our Netflix queue. we went the streaming only route about a year ago because we didn't have a DVD player any longer; now we picked up a cheap one and I know there are just a ton of movies out there that I've probbably forgotten about that I've wanted to watch.

There will be 2 or 3 other movies based on the books. The 2nd movie comes out in November.

I'm thinking there will be four movies total. The last book is in the works but I'm not positive on that.

In terms of books, The Hunger Games ends with the third book. But I could easily see Lionsgate pulling a Twilight and splitting the last book into two movies, to maximize the profits.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Just took the kids to see Jurassic Park 3D. Funny as hell watching my wife jump at all the same scenes.

3D was done very well for it. The 3D preview of Star Trek looked badass though.
