Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get Pioli and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

Haaaaaaaa right.

I would liked to have seen Barkley at the senior bowl. His season got cut short, and I know he's probably pissed about that.

I like the guy a lot and want to see him do well. I think he could absolutely be a top 10 pick even with the injury setting him back a bit. If he impressed at the senior bowl I'll betcha he would have leapfrogged Tyler Wilson.

I don't know shit about twitter but there's too much, imo, pointing to the GenoSmith_12 account being legit.
Why do you think an account with 6K followers is legit?

Maty Mauk, the third string QB for Mizzou, has 4,800 followers. Yet the starting QB for a B12 school that started the season 5-0 and was getting major Heisman buzz only has 6K?

It's not a real account. With as often as it gets used and with as much national exposure as he's rec'd (not to mention the fanbase for WVU on their own), he'd have a TON more followers than he has.

If/when Tyler Wilson impresses everybody on and off the field in Mobile, he'll launch to the top of the QB class.

That's how close this QB class is.

Geno's touch and accuracy has me salivating with the thinking about Geno with Bowe, Charles, Breaston another WR addition and Moeaki and another TE addition

It's not impossible.

If Wilson impresses at the SR bowl, I think he could jump to the top of the class.

Like I said, if Geno's really skipping the Senior Bowl, that's a huge mistake, IMO. This isn't a done deal for him by any means.

If he didn't get hurt in the UCLA game, I would venture to say we don't see that dog shit Notre Dame in the national championship game last night.

It's his real account.

His trainer (Weinke) linked it and so did his strength coach a few weeks ago.

One of the guys I followed also checked with someone at wvu and they confirmed it's real.

I've also seen him having conversations with Bailey on there. And when you look at the content that he tweets, it's obvious that it's him.

And if Wilson doesn't impress at the Senior Bowl, he instantly drops to #3 in the race.

Again, if Geno is being advised that he's currently the #1 or #2 pick, there's nowhere for him to go but down. He'd be stupid to play.

Not that I don't wish he would, just so we could see them side by side, but all this tells me is that NFL teams are telling Wilson's agent that he still has to "prove it".

Probably in the minority but I don't see the big deal in him skipping it...

Geno will make his hay at the combine, pro day, and when teams get him 1 on 1 and can interview him and work him out, etc.

Just think right now he has more to lose than gain by going.

I've asked this before, I'll ask it again. What quarterback has ever been drafted #1 overall as the result of his Senior Bowl?

There is enough tape out there on Geno where scouts should know what he can do in-game. The senior bowl would've done nothing for him IMO
