Is this the most active fan forum in the US?

With over 7 million posts in the Lounge alone and hundreds of users on at any given time, is this the most active sports forum in the entire country? I tried to find other forums to dwarf this one on Google, but none of them came even close. I wasn't even able to find an all-NFL forum that had more activity than this one. If you know of a sports-related forum that is more active than this one, I'd be curious to see it.

It's something else that a forum about the Chiefs continues to be so active in the midst of what might be the team's worst season in its history.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I browse hfboards.com quite a bit... 109,000 members and almost 43 million posts... but, it has a forum for each NHL team along with several other hockey related forums.

Somethingawful.com and Off Topic are very cool general topic boards that are on the first page there.

You can find decent discussions for anything and everything...and unfettered access to tons of porn. LOL

I'm ignoring shhhh and Reddit and the like, since they're more like groups of forums than just one. That's impressive that the hockey forum is so large, not the sport that I would have expected to bring so many people together to one place.

What if we narrow it down just to the NFL? I couldn't find any comparable ones in that realm.

The hottest sports team fan forum seems to be Michigan State.

I don't see any individual team boards listed above it.

Spurs talk is a few spots below.

Extreme Skins is the most popular NFL team board.

Chiefsplanet is #780. Extreme Skins is #374. So we're relatively close.
