Liberals... What exactly are you afraid of?

We've seen the supposedly calm-and-cool flower children of the left morph from self-proclaimed peace loving people to ravenous angry old wo/men now that Hillary lost. So far all we've heard are claims that Donald Trump is terrible and the worst person in the world.

We all know he grabbed the pussy of a woman who wasn't bothered by it enough to file against him; is that what's so bad that he'll end the world? He's rich?

What's he going to do, or undo, that's going to end the world? What progress has happened that's now going to be stopped or reversed/undone?

Can you please be more specific, what are you afraid of?

Discuss...

This is a statist view of energy markets a la the ole' British mercantilism.

No you're not right. This is govt interference in markets. It should be handled by private sector free-markets depending on where the demand is. Supply will follow.

Do you still wonder why I consider you a NeoConservative?
You're definitely not a limited govt conservative, at the very least.

You forgot the "just on the other side" part. I was saying that Dems didn't understand Reps which led to Trump gaining the ground he did. You are showing the same lack of understanding on the Dems side so here we go again...

I'm aware of this, but I don't think House Republicans or Senators will do much to block Trump's plans, and he'll be able to install at least two SCOTUS justices.

But there are 4 axes where the dissent is greater and [in some cases] less excusable this time around.

1. It's more immediate - Trump hasn't even taken office, while the rumblings of Obama dissent didn't come to fruition until months or years in office
1. It's more pointed, without being specific [hence the question in the OP]. That is 'what are you angry about?' Trump. 'But WHAT about him." Oh everything. . .
3. It's higher profile - Outside the professional political chattering class, the Obama dissent had Adam Baldwin and James Woods. Eventually what, the duck call dudes and the Duggars? This time every single late night show has gone from jokes to full mourning. Every daytime talk show is a Glenn Beck conspiracy-fest, every creative type has to weigh in, every comedian, singer, athlete, etc. has to weave their complaints into their entertainment vehicle.
4. Rather than denounced, they are righteous and justified. Confront them and they'll tell you, sure those who criticized Obama were idiot racist bigoted assholes, and sure we're doing the exact same thing, but this is different because Trump.

The profile of the dissenters and the sense of justification/smugness is the key. The election is barely over, and there is barely any form of entertainment/leisure where you won't be faced with someone there to remind you of how much resentment they're holding and how strident and angry they are committed to being for 'as long as it takes.' This further is a reminder of how much disdain those you support with your entertainment dollars have for you, their audience. And before someone counters with 'they have a right to an opinion.' Sure they do. I'm not asking them to feel different than they do. That's unreasonable. What's reasonable though is not to expect people you are supporting in their craft to come in and call you an asshole to your face as part of the craft you are supporting.

Now, given that. Is it too much to ask for a rational catalog of the specific complaints underlying so determined an effort to foment hatred and dissatisfaction?
Well, there's a lot of truth to this but if you look at Trump, he has pushed a lot of inflammatory comments which even many Republicans have not liked. If you have a contingent in the conservative ranks not wanting him, is it shocking the other side is reacting this way?

Also, with Obama there was a concerted effort from day one to not allow him to pass hardly anything. We all know there was a meeting to discuss this and guarantee he'd be a one term president(didn't work all that well). If you don't think the reaction was strong, take a look at gun sales and how they spiked because Obama was going to "take your guns".

Third, our economy had just tanked in a huge way, people tend to get behind someone in a crisis, just like every got behind Bush after 911 and passed a law giving up their right to privacy.

Trump is entering the presidency under a recovering economy, people are generally happy about how Obama did when you look at his popularity and Trump lost the popular vote. People feel they have an argument more than they did when Obama first got in.

The economy hasn't really recovered, it's an apparency. A new bubble was merely created, which will burst in due time, perhaps making 2007/08 and the Great Depression look like picnic. Just because there is a tad of improvement ( a measly 2%), on the surface in some areas, it's been at the expense of greater debt, govt spending, inflation, effectively nationalize industries that favor govt cronies.
The fundamentals of real markets are still damaged and were being damaged even before Obama too office, but he hasn't put his finger on some of the right causes. The damage created by the Fed Reserve needs to be repaired for more growth, but it will take a period of pain for that to get us on a better long-term track. This is not a good political move tho' it really is vital. Trump has said there could be another economic crash as a result and some others who follow Fed policy are predicting the same. These are the same folks who predicted 2007/08.

It's really not a hard fact that Trump won the popular vote. There's charges that 3, even 4 million illegals voted. Massive fraud was found in the Detroit recount. Deductive reasoning suggests there's more in other big cities as they are Democratic strong holds. But keep believin' the Fake News.

As to Obama's popularity, he's personable but the fact that polls continued to show upwards of 70% not happy with the direction of the country contradicts a lot of that. So some may be Fake Polls. His party lost most states and Democrats have lost most state legislatures who get voted into power by the people.

Name one aspect of the radical left that doesn't conform to doublethink. Doublethink is essential to the SJW/modern liberal platform.

Hell, name me one aspect of the radical left that doesn't conform to every tenant of 1984...

Yeah, I noticed that too. It sounds nice and pleasant to say that. It's just a clever sound byte to market themselves as "reasonable" and marginalize real American Patriots.

All it means is that they are a mix of both sides, without any guiding principles of Constitutionalism. Each moderate is just made up of a different mix that they choose from cafeteria-style. But everyone still has a lean, including moderates. Mushy moderates.
