Liberals... What exactly are you afraid of?

We've seen the supposedly calm-and-cool flower children of the left morph from self-proclaimed peace loving people to ravenous angry old wo/men now that Hillary lost. So far all we've heard are claims that Donald Trump is terrible and the worst person in the world.

We all know he grabbed the pussy of a woman who wasn't bothered by it enough to file against him; is that what's so bad that he'll end the world? He's rich?

What's he going to do, or undo, that's going to end the world? What progress has happened that's now going to be stopped or reversed/undone?

Can you please be more specific, what are you afraid of?

Discuss...

As much as I currently enjoy liberal tears we need rational liberals back.

We NEED them.

It's like left vs. right brain. We need both.

And I think for this election a wide win is good but in a perfect world any president would have no more than either the house or senate. One or the other. Never both...

The damage created by the Fed Reserve need to be repaired for more growth but it will take a period of pain for that to get us on a better long-term track. Trump has said there could be another economic crash as a result and some others who follow Fed policy, are predicting the same.

It's really not a hard fact that Trump won the popular vote. There's charges that 3, even 4 million illegals voted. Massive fraud was found in the Detroit recount. Deductive reasoning suggests there's more in other big cities as they are Democratic strong holds. But keep believin' the Fake News.

As to Obama's popularity, he's personable but the fact that polls continued to show upwards of 70% not happy with the direction of the country contradicts some of that. And he lost most states and Democrats have lost most state legislatures.
yep, keep believin that fake news.... Having both dems and reps at the polling places to watch out for those things doesn't matter at all. I'm not questioning the abnormally high turnout in rural areas. The only possible fraud must be in Dem areas, that's what Fox tells me!

You do realize that 70% not happy with the direction of the country could have a lot of influence on congress which has a much lower approval rate or do you just want to discount that fact because the House has been under Republican control for so long? More false narratives.

Trump won the electoral college, I accept that and understand that he will pass some things I don't like and some things I do like, Hillary would have done the same. I'm hoping we make good ground in trade, where he could be stronger. I'm hoping he doesn't push idiotic things like nuclear proliferation.

I'm taking a wait and see approach, I think most people are doing the same.

Are you suggesting that polls aren't accurate?...

No, you seem to want everyone to fit into a nice box with a pretty bow, most people don't and fall into a wide variety of camps. I lean more democratic in Tax policy, but more republican in social issues. I think Dems have pushed the all inclusive narrative too far.

I believe gays should be allowed to get married, but they'd better not try to force a church to marry them if that isn't within the church's beliefs. If a business chooses to discriminate, I think that is their right. You can't force them to do something they don't want to do, people are entitled to their beliefs. They just need to understand that if they do so, some people may decide to protest in front of their business.

I don't agree that people who "identify" themselves as one sex should be allowed to use that bathroom. They may or may not pose a threat to the other individuals in that bathroom, but their individual freedom doesn't override the freedoms of the people in that bathroom that were born that way.

I believe in a National Healthcare system. I work in that industry so this doesn't help me. I've seen the insane rates that are charged because people don't have a choice, they need to go to a hospital or they need to take a certain type of medication. Paying 10k a month for a medication you need to stay alive isn't ok when it costs so much less to make. I understand the upfront costs but this isn't exclusive to new medications. Buying rights to a drug that cost pennies a pill and increasing the rate by a huge amount is not ok. It's too much of a drain on people's pocketbooks and bankrupts families, we need to correct that. I had an example where an individual wanted approval to get an operation done in Germany, it cost a third of what it cost here and the procedures they used were better than our own. We approved it. We had an anesthesiologist who was making 3 times the medicare rate and wanted to make 9 times that rate so they threatened to leave the network unless they got it. Can't do a lot when a certain hospital only uses a certain anesthesiology group.

I could keep going but the reality is you can't just decide to throw everyone into a box just because you want to label them a certain way. I have varying opinions and most people do. Step down from the high horse.

I'm liberal and I'm more scared of who Donald is surrounding himself with. I thought of a lot of silver linings when he got elected...now any sense of optimism I had is gone with the most cartoonishly right-wing cabinet ever assembled.

That has not been well documented whatsoever. It's all based on anti-Hillary hearsay. But we aren't operating with hearsay with Trump. We have seen it for decades, but we've seen it up close and personal for two years.

I don't know if you're capable of seeing it because you're in Trumpworld, but everybody, including conservatives, who haven't been seduced into that odd reality understand that Trump is virtually unprecedented when it comes to his complete lack of temperamental restraint.

The closest you can get in American political history is Andrew Johnson. And Johnson was a drunk that ended up getting impeached.
