I was a big Soria fan...still think he should have been a starter. He did break down quick.

I just prefer closers like Holland. I think he has the potential to turn in Kimbrel-esque years.

None. His arm would have collapsed alot sooner than it did.

He throws harder, and his slider is more of a wipeout pitch than Soria's hook was (because Holland is a bit more consistent with it and it is more effective against LH hitters). The splitter is also unfair when paired with the mid-90s heat and the slider. All three pitches come out with the same arm speed and are tough to distinguish from one another.

Soria had 4 good pitches good control and an ice coldness on the mound. Soria also had a big hold in the all star game.

Wow. I would have never thought 131 HRs would be that low. Before this post, if you told me that we would hit 131 HRs this season, I'd be happy as hell. That's almost a homerun every game.

Surprising to me that 131 is considered low and that 25 teams did better than that.

Looking at the stats from last year, the Yankees averaged 1.5 HRs per game. Wow.
