The MIA Heat Show Thread

LA will be dethroned. The LAC Lake Show will be dead. So it's time to create a thread to follow the new dynasty.

Going on tour starting this October.

Have you seen the break down of the numbers or are you just speculating? Not trying to pin you down, I'm curious as to how much the B&G club benefitted.
My children's school holds a sporting goods drive every year for the Phoenix B&G club; they are a very worthy organization IMHO and I hope the chapter that received the proceeds got all or damn near all of them.

I don't have 500K casino cash. or else I'd take your bet.

I'd bet all my casino cash at the time the Eastern Conference champion is decided next season, though.

Hell, maybe even Tim Duncan still.
Id also take Tyreke Evans over Bosh. Evans is going to be a ****ing beast.
I respect Duncan immensely but IMHO after seeing him in the playoffs this year Timmy D. is past his prime and is no longer a top 10 player. Mad props to him though, dude won consistently and with class ( and a lot of crying and whining I'll admit).

Nash is still up there in that mix as well.

You can argue that he is a top 10 player since we still haven't seen what he can do on a good team but I think he is more in the 10-15 range. Not like that is a bad thing but throwing around the term superstar in front of his name is dubious at best.

I heard on ESPN Radio that it was donated to the organization nationally and they made it sound like it was all of the proceeds. Maybe some expenses were taken off the top but if it was a higher cut then it was an even further sketchy claim of using charity to half assed attempt to mask self promotion.

Agreed on the take that they are a very good organization which I have seen first hand as well.

The Heat have 3 great players and what else? Surrounding cast and role players have a huge part in winning a championship (see the Lakers this year getting key non-Kobe contributions from guys like Artest and Fisher and see Boston getting key contributions from guys like Big Baby and Tony Allen).

I have been a Heat season ticket holder since '92... they have been my team since the Harold Miner/Rony Seikaly/Glen Rice days... but a dose of reality needs to be applied when looking at the Heat's championship prospects for next season.

Heat season tix since 92? Seikaly and Harold Miner?
I hereby dub thee Planet Resident Miami Heat Expert.

I heard LeBatard say before the LB decision that if LeBron chooses the Heat the Miami fans don't deserve it and neither do the Cleveland fans, alluding to the fact that the Heat fans were on the whole much less passionate and dedicated than the Cleveland fans.
What do you think about that?

So far (expected at least) Mike Miller, Udonis Haslem and Mario Chalmers. The rest will be filled out over the coming weeks.
