Patriots' Hernandez Questioned By Police in Homicide Probe

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/nfl...#ixzz2WbiGOtye

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. -- New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was questioned by police investigating a possible homicide in this town 40 miles south of Boston. A source with knowledge of the investigation said Massachusetts State police spoke to Hernandez on Monday and were interested in possibly searching his home.

Hernandez is not believed to be a murder suspect, according to a source, but a vehicle rented in his name has emerged as a key piece of evidence in the investigation. The Sun Chronicle of Attleboro, Mass., reported on Tuesday that police identified a rented 2013 Chevrolet Suburban with Rhode Island license plates in connection with the possible homicide. According to the paper, the vehicle is registered to Enterprise and investigators were hoping to analyze it for fingerprints. A source said Hernandez's name is tied to that rental vehicle.

A jogger found the body of a 27-year-old Boston man on Monday in an North Attleboro clearing, less than a mile from Hernandez's home.

A North Attleboro police car idled in front of Hernandez's home on Tuesday, parked across the street from two television news vans. Yasmina Serdarevic, a spokesperson for the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, declined comment on Tuesday afternoon when contacted by SI.com.

A source close to Hernandez confirmed that the player had spoken with authorities in connection with case, but would not elaborate. Athletes First, Hernandez's agency, declined comment when contacted by SI.com. Hernandez has consulted with a lawyer, who did not return a call from SI.com.

A fourth-round pick in the 2010 draft, Hernandez was named to the Pro Bowl in his second season. Last season he caught 51 passes and scored five touchdowns for the Patriots.

He should have used the Ray Lewis defense strategy or lawyer.

I am getting the vibe you don't think Hernandez is innocent, you only question the evidence, which is fine.

So assuming Hernandez did commit the crime (which I think we all believe) and there are at least 2 eye witnesses and at least one is talking, they will know things about the crime that would not otherwise be known. They will have other evidence as a result as well.

Its not a difficult thing to prosecute, my guess is Hernandez pleas out at some point.

The 2 accomplices issue cant be overstated, no way these guys "stick together" and don't roll. I am guessing both guys roll for a sentence agreement. Hernandez is the "boss" in this case, he called his boys up to help him solve his problem, and was the driving force in this whole thing.

Not to mention I am guessing he is going to get just clobbered with other charges in the other cases. Dude is toast.
Types of evidence just based off whats being released.

1. Hired a cleaning crew for his house the day after.

2. GF seen leaving the house with items (possible testimony against Hernandez when she realizes the crap she is in).

3. Video surveillance recovered from "smashed" system at the home showing them with what appear to be weapons.

4. Cell phone evidence.

5. Surveillance of them leaving the industrial area.

6. Murder weapon from second murder recovered from another woman who will no doubtedly testify as to where it came from if she hasn't already as part of the GJ hearing.

7. Vehicle believed to be used in other murder hid at uncles garage.

8. Cousin purchased ticket for one of the accomplices to leave town.

9. Hernandez rented vehicle for other accomplice to leave town.

10. Shell casing in rented car.

Just those items alone will get you convicted in two murders.

Then add in the other case where he shot a guy in the face.

He's toast for sure!

Just how stupid do you have to be to commit murder in front of two witnesses. Hernandez stupid, I suppose. Innocent until proven guilty in the USA . I would want a fair trial, as would you. Guess Hernandez's boyz aren't as loyal as he thought. If you are innocent, no reason to roll over. Does witnessing murder make one a murderer?

Report: Hernandez Tied To '12 Victims http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/...ms-report-says

Police have obtained video that shows former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez at a Boston club at the same time as two men who were shot and killed hours later, according to a report by the Hartford Courant.

Daniel Abreu, 29, and Safiro Furtado, 28, were killed in their car in Boston's South End on July 16, 2012. Police were searching for a gray SUV with Rhode Island plates in connection with the killings and found a car roughly matching that description while searching a Bristol, Conn., residence for evidence related to the murder of Odin Lloyd, which Hernandez is charged with.

The silver Toyota 4Runner with Rhode Island plates had been in the garage of Hernandez's uncle's home for approximately a year.

According to the Courant, police are also examining a .38-caliber pistol in connection with the 2012 case after it was seized from a vehicle driven by a Bristol woman who was involved in a multicar crash June 21.

The newspaper reported that the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office declined to comment on the video.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to killing Lloyd on June 17 near his North Attleborough, Mass., home.

2012 usually putting a ' in front of a couple numbers means a year.

Like '12.

Pretty sure they meant 2012 not literally 12 victims
