The pathetic one we saw against Pitt and Cinci

Or the great one we saw against Denver, SF

or the middle of the road one we saw against the Cards.

I think we are closer to the Cards version bordering towards bad more than towards excellent.

As long as Gunther is here preaching his "style" of defense we're not going to be much better than average. This isn't the mid 90's anymore. Frankly I'm sick of his excuses. Wade Phillips, for example, was able to turn the San Diego defense around in his first year there with nothing more than a few street free agent pickups that first year, and improve it over the years immediately with the draft...
