Holy crap do I have a rebuild to see to. Only 28 total players on my roster that appeared in more than 10 games in 2012.

Still trying to decide on how to handle reworking the roster, but if anyone that could use Ed Reed (16 games) can make a good offer I'll listen.
And I saw Duluth's posted interest in Mr. Reed. I'll start thinking of good ideas for an offer as well. You thinking player/draft pick/or all of the above as an option?

We are an empty slate and open to all options. This is what we mentioned earlier as being on the trading block in Duluth, but our ears are always open.

We have available a good guard in Kory Lichtensteiger (16 games), a good MLB in Demeco Ryans (16 games), a part-time MLB in Ray Lewis (6 games), a starting QB in Ryan Fitzpatrick (16 games), a rising young TE in Rob Housler (15 games), and good receivers in Hakeem Nicks (13 games), Desean Jackson (11 games), and Harry Douglas (15 games).

Duluth is looking for long-term answers at CB, HB, and RT, and short-term answers (i.e., cheap) at C and DE.

Wish I wouldn't have cleared all of those completed trades from before to try to figure out a least gross estimates on trade values. Is Stafford for the #30 overall the type of market setting trade that we should go for? A lot more in depth than fantasy football trades.

Personally, I think getting Stafford for the #30 is a good deal, but then again I have yet to field a team with a decent quarterback.

I was trying to look through some of the games I found from last season, but it is really hard to tell what all is going on, and how having a poor FS would affect things if it gets you a G or something else. It is nuts how we have the 8 less teams than the NFL, with 53 man rosters, but then we have rosters that have holes bigger than John Holmes favorite F-buddy.

I thought getting Stafford for a #30 was a steal, personally.

I know we had a guy offering around the 15th for a QB, I'm not sure why the person that traded Stafford didn't go to him first. Even then, getting a guy a season removed from one of the most prolific statistical seasons in history (which is all that matters in this league) for even a 15 would've been a bargain.

If you are setting your bar at 'late first rounder for 5K yard passer', I think you're going to be pretty disappointed.

I think I need to change my approach some and not try to fill my worst holes right NOW...need to keep in mind that there is the rookie draft to get some players that I know will play, plus some more that are young and might play more soon....not to mention the free agents that we will either draft or sign with whatever it is that is still in the works for that.

I was ready to start moving guys like Reed and Vick to try to reload as much of the roster as possible, but I think I'll tap the breaks on that some and see what comes from the draft/s.

The goal of the simulation is to capture the contributions of these players in as realistic manner as possible. Let's say you have guard A and guard B. Guard A is known as a good pass protector and average run blocker, while guard B is a good run blocker and average pass protector. If you replace guard A with guard B with all other aspects being equal, over the course of a season you'd expect a slight decrease in passing efficiency and a slight increase in run efficiency. Every player contributes to the success or failure of your team. I'm not sure how even I would value a guard compared to a FS. Just think about your knowledge of the NFL and make your best judgement, and put as many good players on the field as possible.
