There is no open arrest Warrant for Miller in California and there never was. He paid the ticket according to Adam Schef and Vic Lombardi.

Didn't the spokesperson for the DA just state that there was indeed an arrest warrant for him in Cali? If so, I'd tend to believe that over Shefter

The warrant is a fact or a mistake or a deliberate lie or something else, but it is or it isn't. Believing has nothing to do with it.

When Miller got arrested for failure to appear in Colorado, they would have ran him in the system for open arrest warrants and would have found the one in Cally. I was sure this was BS when the "news" broke. We really have to vet this stuff anymore because the media is incapable of doing it.

Von Miller has racked up so many traffic violations in recent months, his lawyers and a district attorney spokesperson were scrambling Wednesday night to determine the difference between a warrant and minor infraction.

Susan Schroeder, spokeswoman for the Orange County District Attorney's Office in California confirmed to The Denver Post that Miller has a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic ticket issued last year. CBS11 in Dallas first reported the warrant.

Miller's agent disputes the warrant.

"There is no arrest warrant," Joby Branion said. "This was something that happened 18 months ago. He got a speeding ticket for going 10 mph over the speed limit. That's an infraction. You can't be arrested on an infraction."
Branion said the ticket has been paid and the case will be fully resolved Thursday.

Schroeder, however, said there is a warrant for failure to appear, not for speeding.

Earlier in the day, before the Broncos were aware Miller may have legal problems that crossed the state line, coach John Fox was asked about his linebacker's mounting legal issues.

"Obviously it's something that we're not happy about," Fox said. "Everybody here has an individual responsibility not only to themselves but this organization as well as to this football team. So obviously it's something we're not pleased about."

The Broncos have been busy the past two months responding to a litany of Miller transgressions. Schroeder told The Denver Post the warrant in California pertains to the entire state.

Miller, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft, compiled a list of 30 quarterback sacks through his first 31 NFL games. His list of traffic offenses is almost as lengthy.

When Miller was arrested by the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Department in August on a warrant for failing to appear in court stemming from traffic violations in October 2012, he didn't know about the warrant or court appearance.

"That was on me," Miller told Denver reporters Aug. 20. "I've just got to be more responsible. It was a ticket from back in (October). I'm not making any excuses, like I said before. I've just got to grow up, be more mature and take care of business."
In an incident last Thursday, Miller was cited for speeding and driving with a restrained license a couple of blocks from his Arapahoe County home.

The Broncos linebacker has no excuse for missing court regarding his latest traffic infraction. In the middle of the traffic summons he received last week, the Arapahoe County officer wrote, "MUST APPEAR IN COURT."

To further emphasize, that message was circled.

To the Broncos and their fans, Miller's greatest transgression was violating the NFL's drug policy, leading to a six-game suspension without pay.

So, while the Broncos were preparing to play the Baltimore Ravens in the season opener last Thursday, Miller was headed to Denver International Airport and Washington, D.C., for a meeting with Branion. Miller had barely left home when he was ticketed for going 38 mph in a 25-mph zone at 7100 Richfield St. in Foxfield, according to the traffic summons. Deputy Beau Baggett also cited Miller for driving while his license was under restraint.

Miller's dad, Von, was a passenger in the car when Miller was pulled over. Dad then became the driver of the black BMW that was registered to Gloria Miller, the linebacker's mother.

The traffic violations that led to Miller's arrest Aug. 14 are why he didn't have a valid license to drive last week. Miller was charged in October 2012 for careless driving, driving without a license and no proof of insurance. His Arapahoe County court appearance on those charges was scheduled for January, but when Miller failed to appear, the court issued a warrant for his arrest.

Miller was attempting to make a purchase at the Centennial Gun Club when a background check flagged the warrant.

Deputy Baggett did his part last Thursday by reminding Miller that his latest infractions would also require a court appearance. On the traffic summons, Miller's court session was listed as Oct. 28 in Arapahoe County.

Oy veh...if he paid the ticket then there is no reason to appear. If you have to appear, in most states, then you do not have an option to pay it out. Not 100 percent on Cally, but I am going to assume that state isn't THAT dumb. Further according to the DA and county clerk via Vic there is NO arrest warrant for him period.
