Would YOU draft Bowers if he fell because his physicals kept failing out...

Question in the thread title.

Bowers, dropping like a rock now due to physicals giving him fits.

Would you draft the guy, even with his injury issues, at 21?

Anyone even thinking that's a possibility under Haley/Pioli needs to put in their 'not happen' wish box' along with becoming an astronaut, banging Farah Fawcett and a Chiefs Super Bowl under Marty/Carl.

Billay, that's really foolish. DJ always showed the ability to play well in a 4-3, his problem was a lack of desire.

why in the name of jesus would we want to move Hali back to a 4-3?

he's one of the most disruptive players in the league

Either he's okay physically or he's ruined forever. If he falls to us, it's because he's ruined. I wouldn't touch him if he falls that far.

Because his role would be virtually identical. He's a standup DE in this scheme. I fail to see how the 10% of the time he drops back in coverage would cause a demonstrative decrease in his ability to rush the passer.

We arent, but even if we did go back o a 4-3 defense... Tyson Jackson and Tamba Hali play the same spot of LDE in that front.

It would also mean that Bowers and Gilberry would be our RDEs. Having Dorsey and Smith manning the inside with Edwards and Torbino (or a rook) backing them up is one hell of an outstanding DL IMO that could stop the run and rush the passer with equal effectiveness...maybe a tad overkill in resources though.

I don't see Bowers being available at your spot when there are at least ten 4-3 teams picking before KC.

Then play him at MLB and have Demorrio as your will backer and Belcher as the backup.

SLB is a hell of a lot easier hole to fill than NT in a 3-4, anyway.
