Very few non-bronco fans can tolerate him. he creates inane threads that are homeristic in nature (his avatar is very apropos), and nobody loves him (not even his own mother)

'face, this can be the home for all knowmo threads so we aren't treated to the bi-weekly steaming 'presents' left by the front door.

Probably. Colts aren't winning a shootout with Peyton IMO (despite them being the 4th quarter Kings) and Pitt -Clark in Denver is just not good, especially if Big Ben is still gimpy.

I haven't read through the whole thread, but who has said this? Can you point me to a post? Since you say "they," I assume it must be more than one person?

It was 31-11 in the 4th quarter. I think it is safe to say that Kubiak eased up on the breaks against his former team. He kinda still likes you guys or something like that.

I was wrong about the NE game being at Denver. Whoops!

There is still lots that can happen where they could get a BYE, too. I will be surprised if they lose to Baltimore this weekend. Just my opinion - we'll see. And then it's Cleveland and you guys, both at home.

Houston would have to lose two out of three. They have Indy twice, And Minnesota, at home. With the way they've been playing lately, it's easily conceivable that they could lose any or all those games.

New England has San Francisco on Sunday, at home. I don't have much hope for that one. But who knows, with SF's defense? NE just needs to lose once, if Denver takes care of business.

I would love a BYE, obviously.

31-11 and Houston had a fluke fumble by a back at midfield with Arian chilling on the sidelines whilst driving to finish the whoopin. A couple blown coverages later it's a bit closer. ATL definately tapped the brakes and they said as much afterwards.

I would bet Houston wins out for HFA, NE wins out, and you end up w/ the 3 seed. Just my guess.

Don't sleep on Balt even though I think Denver is better. Just when everyone writes them off, they come up big.

They have to play Denver, NYG and Cincy (who will be trying to make a WC). Balt has a rough end of the season schedule.

Denver has gotten a lot better since then. Not just because everyone is on the same page now, but because we have better players now than we did then.

Chris Kuper, Tony Carter, Jim Leonhard, DJ Williams, Danny Trevathan, Trindon Holliday, and Keith Brooking weren't even playing at that time. Kuper, Tony Carter, and Trindon Holliday are playing at a Pro Bowl level right now and DJ Williams has been easing back into the lineup for the past few weeks.

Kubiak was crapping his pants, actually.

If you're really interested in why everyone says the team adapted in week six - I understand if you aren't - this is my opinion. In those three games we lost, the script was the same. Get behind big early, and storm back at the end - to the point where an onside kick or a 4th-down stop gets you the game. In each of those games, Peyton went no-huddle in the second half, and scored and scored and scored. Some of that was against deep zones. Most of it was against base defenses.

With week six, they finally figured it out to just let Peyton do that from the start. We've gotten up early, and our defense has been able to play to its strengths.

I'll be really bummed if they don't do damage in the playoffs. They seem like they have all the ingredients of a championship team. They're playing great special teams. Their defense has been opportunistic and smothering. Their QB doesn't make a lot of mistakes. They convert on third downs. I'll admit that I have real expectations.

Atlanta isn't that great. I wasn't impressed with their offense and the only reason they got a lead in the first place was because of 3 fluke first quarter INT's by Manning.

We would cock stomp them if we played them again.

That's my worst-case, because it puts us in New England for round two (assuming we win).
