I'm sure a lot of it is just a matter of hyperbole, since it's definitely not reality.

Yet, you would think some people were posting about Mizzou basketball or the Chiefs. This is one of the very few teams around here that actually delivers quality entertainment every season, yet some choose to watch with a stick up their butt.

And of course it's not all rainbows and unicorns... this team specifically is soft (but improving... I think), and it won't be 3 point defense that kills them, it'll be defense in the paint, which has been a major key to success for years.

I just don't see how not complaining about a team that's won 9 consecutive conference titles, has won a championship recently and made a few runs, has won 70%+ of their games, has proven time and time again that they can win just about any game while hardly ever losing consecutive games, etc; is sugar coating it. If you're looking for something better than that, I'm not sure where you would go to find it these days.

Tech is 67 in KenPom (9th best in B12), the 2nd best MVC team is Indiana State at 84.

I keep saying it... they could easily be the first #1 seed to go down against a 16. Or they could win it all.

But WSU has proven absolutely nothing this year except they can beat teams made up of guys that would be walk ons elsewhere.

Well they were able to make a run last year and into the FF. WSU is no slouch. I wish Bill Self would schedule a neutral sight series at Sprint Center against them but he won't.

They're (WSU) not playing against great competition...but they play very well together and haven't lost. That's hard to do now, esp when they're the hunted this season. The target is now on their backs.

I don't see them winning it all. I actually think they'll lose some point in their conf tourney and they'll drop to a #3 seed. I also don't think they're going to lose in the first rd either. I see them winning the first weekend..prob will lose in sweet16 depending on their opponent.

They're a legitimate top 20 team. I'd place them in the 15-20 range. Yes they're highly overrated at the moment. I guess we'll see.
