Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Yeah, I do not have fond memories of installing mine.

Recoil was nothing, but the trigger was a heavy mother, and the stock handle was cheap for a 8-9000 rifle. I felt like I had the power of God in my hands, with 10 rounds of assrape a finger pull away.

That's sweet. How was the noise? I'd think it would be massive, but maybe not so bad behind the gun.

I've got a fullsize 45 PX4 coming in early Jan. The barrel unlocking mechanism is pretty novel.

My dad and I did a simple trigger mod on my RR AR 15 (the trigger was garbage, too), which included polishing/sanding the trigger with 600 grit paper, along with bending a clipping off a spring.

It completely changed the rifle, and it was free. If you want the link to the page that has a walkthrough you will have to read back about 10-15 pages on this thread. I posted about it a few months ago.

It was nothing when shooting it. I could hear the "click" of the barrel recoiling backward with very little "boom".

I was obviously wearing ear plugs.

Standing behind it was different. It shredded the ground around the flash/recoil supressor.

Good God.

Buy every stripped lower you can find along with any high capacity mags. People are going ****ing crazy out there. A shooting buddy just bought 10 Stag stripped lowers.

I think everyone is just ove-reacting, but damn.

I can definitely take one apart to clean it, but really wouldnt be comfortable trying to modify anything like that, even with instructions.

I'd almost surely **** it up

It was really simple. I was shocked, when it comes to guns, nothing is cheap, easy, and great.

It worked perfectly.

Well, I wandered down to the gun store earlier to check this out. Looks and feels great, but the trigger sucks - it's got more play in it than my old Ruger. The Smith MP 40 subcompact was better, but the one I came thisclose to walking out with was the Kimber ultra carry. .45, 7 round mag, definitely no trigger issues. They had a base model with black sights for around $830, and I could always upgrade the sights later.

I'm torn as to whether or not to go ahead and get this, or wait to see if CC truly becomes a reality here.

I had one and sold it a couple years ago. It was an excellent gun! I'm thinking of going for the 3" Crimson Trace next.
