Jaguars LB will be on a payment plan for his $20,000 fine
**** Gooddell. This guy makes ~$97,000 BEFORE taxes IF he stays on the practice squad for 16 weeks. And the league takes $20,000 MORE off the top of that?

What if he's cut after a couple weeks and no one picks him up? He's a freaking undrafted free agent. What a load of shit.

According to league spokesman Greg Aiello, players like Lockley are put on a payment plan to satisfy their debts. In Lockley's case, once he gets his first paycheck, he'd pay $2,500 per week for eight weeks to make good with the NFL.

Because the amount of the fine is more than 25 percent of his weekly check, Lockley can lodge an appeal. If I were him, I wouldn't hold my breath on getting that fine changed. The NFL doesn't exactly champion the cause of the little guy.

What I don't understand is how somebody who obviously and passionately HATES the sport of football, and, through his actions, is blantantly trying to destroy it gets the job in the first place, let alone keeps it.

I look at it more like a bail thing. Judges adjust bail based on the amount of money someone has and makes.
