New tailgate zone at Arrowhead?

I saw the news make mention of a tailgate zone at arrowhead that will have food and drink available along with what looked like a projection tv / live entertainment.

Sounded like an attempt to monetize tailgating

news mentioned it will be open up to 4 hours before the game

so now that parking is limited, just leave all your affordable food and drink at home, come on in and spend all your money

anyone have more info on this?

Why use a flask? When I had my tickets, there was some regulars across the aisle who would bring this 50 yr old leatherized cheerleader-wannabe, and she would drink her hooch from a suntan lotion bottle.

Well, in hindsight, maybe she was just drinking suntan lotion. She was kinda gross, so I suppose it could have been either scenario. in any case, tote that shit into the stadium in plain sight and they won't question it a bit.

It's like they're purposely terrible at marketing, trolling fans because they know they'll spend the money anyway.

They used to have a list of season ticket benefits and almost all of them centered around the opportunity to spend more money.

Celebrate game day with your fellow Chiefs fans at the Ford Tailgate District located just outside of Arrowhead at the Founder’s Plaza.

Open four hours prior to kickoff each game, the Ford Tailgate District is FREE to enter and offers fun for all ages including:

Drink specials including $5 beer and $3 water
Live entertainment
Tailgating games
Food trucks
Chiefs Cheerleader autographs
Giveaways and more!
OK then it's not actual tailgating. Tailgating is regular ass people having ad-hoc parties in the parking lot.

I think that moving away from KC and not spending 8 days every fall drinking and eating meat from 6am to noon just added 10 years onto my life.

+1

Spending the fall/winter in the Dallas area really sucks and I've sold my regular season tix as well, so I hope that it's only for this year only. Last year was too much fun.
