That was the 2011 basketball season. It happened. I can't fathom how you could possibly think I still give a shit about that game. I'll take walking out the door with the trophy in the last Big 12 game we ever played over a first round game 10 times out of 10.

Kansas has the longest running stretch of appearances in the NCAA tournament. They are currently 3 years away from the all time record.

Now if you've never won the championship then I would say of course you'd take that followed up by an NIT appearance.

For a certain few schools though an NIT showing is awful. For KU it's unfathomable.
