Can we talk about how bad our radio crew is?

So I'm listening to the game today, which is very rare for me...

"Keep the feet-- keep the foot on the foot feet" - Mitch Holthus trying to say "keep the foot on the pedal"

Kendall Gammon can't go an entire sentence without stumbling over his words.

And that "put the hammer down" thing at the start of the 4th is so ****ing lame.

Does anybody listen regularly? Are they always this bad?

Thank you.

The pregame show is one of the best in the NFL. I know Dan Israel, he's a good dude and a cancer survivor. Kevin Harlan was very good, but CBS paid him the big bucks. Mitch is knowledgeable, but a lot of times about trivial shit...like where some third string safety on the opposing team went to high school in some backwater Kansas dirt town. I've worked professionally with Kendall Gammon too. He is a good guy, but was Peter Principle'd into the press box when Lenny was taken off game duty. The chick they have on sideline is meh....I think they just wanted a woman in the mix. Mitch is an unabashed homer, but that's what he's paid to be. His Monday Night fan show is much worse than this play by play. That Monday show is true propaganda. Those are true Kool Aid Drinking fans. I wonder if Suzie Bling Bling put a lip lock on his love log?

Today was the first time in forever I listened to the radio broadcast and there is no way Gammons should be in the booth. I have never heard so many mistakes as I did from him today.

Mitch is great if you want to know punt hang times down to the hundredth of a second. I don't mind the homer, just the lame delivery.

I have come to enjoy the absurdity of Mitch Holthus. When the Chiefs "put the hammer down" and "taste the sweet nectar of the endzone" it is so HUUUUUUUUUGEEEE!!! The best is his weeknight radio show at hy-vee where he nicknames the freaks that show up to cheer him on. And when Reid calls in he sounds so dead inside. You guys have to appreciate how special this is.

Used to be one of the best. He used to have amazing passion for the details of how he called the game. Now he is a clown show parody of nicknames and stupid cliches.

The radio crew is great, although there's some significant drop off between Leonard and Kendall Gammon.

Mitch is fine, he just needs to stop with all the nicknames.

If you guys want to hear terrible, listen to some other teams' radio crews.

I have been on NFL mobile. They call the game in front of them without stupid nicknames and cliches.

They are quite refreshing to be honest. They get excited and have the passion Mitch used to have.

I think Gammon is a drop-off in the booth, but there's also significant drop-off between Kendall Gammon and whomever is the sideline reporter right now. Whoever that is sounds like someone who just started watching football last year.
