Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.


Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?



Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Was going back and forth on the 1860 Colt or the Remington and decided I like the 1858s looks a bit better. Plus at some point I'll pick up a Colt SAA so I'll get my colt gun then.

I only wish someone made paper cartridges to make reloading a bit faster/easier. I'm still on the fence if I'll get conversion cylinders for them. The fun of black powder IS the black powder!

New Army is great choice.
You take zig-zags & use them for that. Some load ball & powder. Me? I just load 35 grains pyrodex in the zig-zags for my New Army& be done with it. make sure your rod is a lil smaller than the revolver you are using.

yup/ I do a lot of my reloading watching basketball or football. Its boring for sure, but makes it so much funner at the range. Loading BP out side in the wind & hot sun ect is for the birds.

My buddy just traded 5,000 small pistol primers for three 5-gallon buckets of assorted brass and half a bucket full of .45. He estimates we've now got around 7,000 .45 brass, in addition to thousands more assorted 9mm and .40.

I'll be busy this weekend, but won't need ammo again for a long time.

you need one of those high point 45acp carbines. I think they run around $300.00

Many BP shooters make their own powder. Its not hard. Time consuming. & takes a few tries to get a good solid recipe down.
