He said Butch Davis had come up for the HC job at KC and Houston. Said DV was about 60/40 he wouldn't come back. But we all kind of knew that part about it.

I think we should make a move on Haslet, the guy is obviously great. No way the Saints hold onto someone who has done that little unless he is really great.

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this but I wouldn't mind Jim Mora Sr. as the Chiefs head coach, he wouldn't be bad. We would also get some great PC's when we tanked a season.

I imagine it has happened other times, but the only time we've ever heard about Carl overruling his coach on draft day, he took some guy named Larry Johnson.

Make fun of Butch Davis' draft all you want, but there isn't a single person that would have wanted the Chiefs to pass on Couch, Brown, Warren or probably even William Green at the time. He took a bunch of top prospects out of college, that any team would have taken if given the chance.

Personally, I'm more inclined to say he sucks at player development to not get any results from all those high picks. Certainly he never handled the Couch situation very well.

I'm not a big fan of having him coach here, but questioning his drafts may be unwarranted.

Very good point, although I never thought highly of Couch coming out of college.

Me either. I thought he was one of those prospects that's in a QB system (I.E. Texas Tech = Kliff Kingsbury)
