With all these uniform changes I may not be able to identify the teams next season. The only thing that's saving me is that none of the uniform changes are big enough to be noticeable.

I wonder if there's a rule that prevents them from putting actual, real horns on their helmets. It would be historically accurate, and the competitive advantage would be a nice side effect.

that would be sweet so they could beep really loud to tell people to get out of the way or to signify danger.

I was disappointed when I found out this wasn't true.

The practice of burying the dead with their goods has left archaeologists with lots of evidence about the Vikings, who were arguably the first maritime superpower. Unfortunately, few Viking helmets survive intact. The small sample size cannot prove the point definitively, but they are all horn-free.

I just read something last week that claimed that there is actually no evidence that the actual Vikings had horns on their helmets. So maybe not so much with the historical accuracy?

Looks like they are taking the current purple and mixing it with the 70's style.

If they put actual horns on the helmets, then the league might have a case for runners not being allowed to lower their heads...

Though it would be cool to see AP impale Champ Bailey and carry him into the endzone.
