It was nice to see EJ play much better tonight, though. If Ku wants to go anywhere on the tourney they'll need Ej to play well. One knock is that he still is sucking from 3.

I'm talking about the game Tharpe played. It was poor. He couldn't keep Kabongo in front of him, took a few ill-advised shots, and didn't show anywhere near the same creation ability as he did on Monday. There's a reason Self kept him on the bench for much of the game today and it wasn't because he was playing well. I would love to say otherwise, but he just didn't play anything like he can.

Hard to believe how bad Texas is this year. They did miss Kybongo but they are horrible everywhere. Ibeh was a top-50 recruit at the post and Cam Ridley was a 5-star top-15 center. Both looked like dogmeat out there. Papapetrou was a big recruit too, KU wanted him as well as the two post guys. They are awful.

Kabongo can't do much for them when they can't even hit open shots. I barely noticed McClellan at all.

Kabongo did pretty well in the first half driving and kicking it out.

But they couldn't hit any shots.

Nobody can keep Kabongo in front of them. Luckily for everybody else the guy cant finish or shoot. Look.....Naadir is no defensive stopper but you cant really knock him just cuz Kabongo could shake him. That's what Myck does...its the reason hes an NBA prospect b u t NBA scouts were hoping he would learn to finish against real sized opponents.

What? I didn't say they should. I'm pretty sure they don't need to open up any scholarships in order to bring a guy like Wiggins in, anyway.

I will say that Ellis is going to seriously have to change his body and his attitude/toughness on court if he's ever going to be awesome. I would never completely write off such a possibility at his age, though.
