Got a call from my wife this morning who said that one of her close friends had just called her. When my wife's friend got up this morning, there was a note from this girl's husband basically saying that he was leaving her and moving in with his new girlfriend.

The amazing thing is that according to my wife's friend, there have been no indications of any problems. No big fights or disagreements. Still sleeping in the same bed, sex, etc.

They have two kids: a two year old and a 7 month old. She has been a stay-at-home mom since their first child was born. Supposedly, in the note, he said he's pay the rent for a while on their apartment.

He's a paramedic and was working at a job that had him on two 24 hour shifts per week so there was always a couple of nights per week when he wasn't home. The job was about 30 miles away from their house. His new girlfriend lives near his job...

I only knew the guy through my wife's friendship with his wife, but we hung out a few times and he always seemed like a great guy, laid back, etc. I'm just shocked that someone that seemed so nice could do something like that.

Apparently, he has a history of this. In fact, his wife should have almost seen this coming. He was engaged to someone else when he met the wife he just left...
