@TeamVic: Thoroughly confused. Zimmerman doesn't last a year before the hood catches up to him.

He deleted it minutes after he tweeted and we wait until we hear he was hacked.

the media is the media....that's what they do, blow everything out of proportion. Although the whole "****ing coon" thing with the 911 call thing fanned the flames.

Yep. If they'd just arrested him in the first place, I doubt there would even be much discussion about it today.

I'm still trying to figure out how this has become a race thing as well. Is Zimmerman a licensed KKK member? Did he have a minature burning cross hanging from his rear view mirror in his car?

Yeah, it doesn't really make a lot of sense. At worst Zimmerman might've assumed Trayvon was up to no good based partly on the fact that he was black. (Of course, walking around an area late at night that had been burglarized frequently while wearing a hoodie that obscured his face probably had something to do with it as well.) While that kind of racial profiling is not exactly PC, I'm a firm believer that everyone's a little bit racist. There's not really any evidence to suggest that Zimmerman was out to take down the black man or anything silly like that.

I was a bit surprised that no one brought up the fact that a large segment of the hispanic population is very racist towards blacks.

Probably because a large portion of the white population are racist towards blacks, a large portion of the black population are racist towards whites, etc.

Now, if you are black and live in a gated community and you have a visitor, they can't wear any urban wear or else someone like fat boy may kill them. Now, those that are truly racist have a license to kill young black men who "they" deem suspicious.
