No they weren't. We heard AT the combine the day after the QBs threw that Reid was discussing trading for Smith while in indy.

The Bad Guy has had a source within the Chiefs organization for a number of years, and his info has been spot on for the most part.

The reports came to light at the combines, but if TBG says that the parameters of the deal were in place before the combines, then you can be nearly certain that that is the truth.

I wouldn't expect you to know but Bad Guy has a guy in the organization, and has been right almost every time he has posted something about it.

Rappoport doesnt believe its a smokescreen and ProFootballCentral says the interest is real. He said the Chiefs overpayed for Alex and should of waited because A Smith could of been gotten for a fourth or possibly a fifth.

I hope you're right, but didn't TBG qualify his report with a statement that he wasn't entirely convinced that they weren't just trying to inflate the trade value?
