This Week's Gambling Thread (9/30 - 10/6)

1. Go to the Leaderboard to insure your name is on the list of competitors this season. Also check your totals. Gambling with more than your total amount will disqualify you from the week.

2. If your name appears then you can go to 10/5/03 Odds odds to get the info to place your bets. Refresh the page BEFORE you decide on your bets.

3. Come back here and place your bets. Remember to follow the rules listed on Gambling Home Page Rules

I will take your bets from this page and place them on the web page listed in #2 above.

I STRONGLY advice that you refresh the pages before referring to them, especially if you have cookies activated.

Also note this very important fact: You are responsible for insuring your bets are placed accurately. Check it to insure your bets are correct. Remember - only you can prevent bad bet placement

IMPORTANT RULE - DO NOT EDIT YOUR BETS AFTER YOU HAVE PLACED THEM. INSTEAD START A NEW REPLY WITH THE WORDS "CHANGE BET(S)" AT THE BEGINNING OF THE POST

This will help me in keeping up with bet placement and changes without becoming an accountant and referee.

Scores are as follows:
1 Bwana 36,480
2 KCWolfman 34,750
3 UTChief 31,395

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

From what I understood from one of the other threads it is how much you have to bet to win $100.

Brad - 5k max on a game. I had to alter your bet

The moneyline is like this, in simplest tersm:

If you see a plus sign on a team, multiply your bet by number following the plus sign used as a percentage. Example: You bet 5000 on the KC moneyline, KC +150. KC Wins (No point spread is involved in moneylines). You win 5000*150% = 7500

If you see a minus sign on a team, divide your bet by the 1/100 of the number following the minus sign. Example: You bet 5000 on the KC moneyline, KC-150 (No point spread is involved). You win 5000/1.5 = 3333 (rounded down).

The nice thing about the moneyline is that no points are involved. The bad thing is that the favorite pays much less than the underdog.

Most appreciated.
