There are people calling into Petro's show saying that we can't waste what's left of Charles, Hali, etc. on a project like Geno Smith.

The windows is open now so it makes sense to go out and get the sure thing, like ALEX SMITH.

And Petro still has no concept of QBs and value.

He's talking about getting developmental prospects - like Nassib or Manuel in the THIRD or Glennon in the FIFTH.

That's where we differ. I think it would be a huge mistake to draft Tyler Wilson or Mike Glennon or Matt Barkley at #1 when Geno Smith is available. He showed at the combine that he is clearly the top quarterback prospect.

They may have been, but at this point I think anything that comes out has about a 50/50 shot of being true.

The only person that I actually believed what was said about the QB's at the combinie was Kurt Warner. No reason to lie and knows the position pretty damn well.

It is simply astounding to me that the vast majority of the maimstream media, have no knowledge of how to correctly build a team. The amount of anti qb bias is just amazing.

That doesn't matter.

Mooch was going to be polite etc about it. He wants other QB's to do interviews with him ala john gruden. He won't get more if he slams the draftee about it.

Interview wasn't terrible, wasn't great

main thing for me was that it seem to me like Geno was unfamiliar with that type of terminology and play. So i would think he is going to take a little extra time to learn it. Not that big of a deal IF he learn efficiently and we won't know that until he actually gets into the NFL.

If Geno wears a cape, does that mean he's batman since Cam=Superman? Will he also murder Stevie Johnson?

Here ya go. Here's a prime example. Can't tell you how much hyperbole people made this to be. Post 6415.

A visionary, he was called. After taking an intelligence test, he was labeled gifted. If his mother wished, Smith could have skipped a grade. She decided against it, preferring he mature with his peers — a notion that did not go as planned, considering Smith often grew bored after finishing his schoolwork faster than most of his classmates.

“His visions of things have always been beyond his years,” Tracey Sellers said of her son...

I said Geno didn't look good in the interview.

BossChief said Geno didn't look good in the interview.

GoChiefs thought Geno didn't possess that same divine spark that he usually has when he's on TV

TONS of Geno's more ardent supporters said it wasn't that good of an interview. We also acknowledged that it wasn't that big of a ****ing deal. It's not.

You're the one with a ****ing victim complex around here, twisting all of our legit criticisms against you into warped views of how Geno Smith is TRULY viewed on the board.

Also, I used to like Tyler Wilson. Not any more. I don't want the Chiefs anywhere near that hillbilly sack of shit. Has he surpassed expectations ****ing ONCE this year in a game or workout? At least Geno had the Baylor, Texas, and Oklahoma games. And he had the combine. And he had two previous years' worth of stellar play in a variety of systems.

Wilson has come up short in every situation he's been put through this year. Nearly all his games. The Senior Bowl. The combine. His interviews. It's time to stop making excuses for that sack of shit and admit he's not going to amount to anything in the pros.
