Problem being that none of those schools lose to Kansas if they played each other tomorrow. But I digress.

Big Ten starts playing there regularly and it will own it recruiting wise. Rutgers stadium is not a JUCO stadium. It seats 52k and was remodeled. Hell they just built the current stadium in 1994. Not to mention the Big Ten has been intrested in Rutgers for some time. They were on the expansion list with MU and KU back in the early 90s. Rutgers is now a solid program to where they came from, which was pretty close to K-State level. Its a solid additon to the Big Ten that makes sense for both parties at all levels.
A 52k seat stadium in a state w/ 8-9 million people. Thank you for hammering home the point for me. What a joke. Indiana/Minnesota level. At least those two can hoop it up. There are people in Indiana that aren't even aware they have a football program. Apparently 7 million people in New Jersey aren't aware they have one either.

They signed one of the top 14 players in the state this year. Very impressive. As you said, the Big Ten already goes in there and takes what they want. So why add them again? Cable subs. That's it. No other reason. As you said the league was already getting the players they wanted w/o them in tow.

I think they are a joke that will do absolutely nothing to enhance the Big Ten's already bad on field product. You are impressed b/c they signed a couple guys and have a 50k seat stadium. I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

Want to put a bet on which team finishes next season ranked higher? It's not like Manziel went RGIII and exploded for one season before leaving. The guy was a freshman. Given his size and style of play, he's likely there for at least two and possibly three more years.

They've got the top QB in the country, a top five recruiting class, and a popular coach. I'll predict that A&M wins more games the rest of this decade than any team in the Big 12.

Context. The point is the 4th best team in the league just blew out the Big XII cochamp. Doesn't matter who it is - as an aside aTm had been recruiting fairly well they just didn't have a coach that could make it happen on the field. And obviously they caught lightning in a bottle with JM but they already had a lot of other talent. In fact since since MU's CB win in 2007 a lower finishing SEC school has beat a higher finishing Big XII school each season along w/ most other leagues. Five years in a row is a trend. The point was made to illustrate what MU is up against in the SEC, not to argue which program is better between OU and aTm. If they hadn't risen from the ashes it would have someone else beating OU (Notice I didn't bother mentioning who it was, doesn't matter as far as to the point I was making). To your point no question OU is a better program than aTm but I was never getting into that.

A&M will likely have 2 top-10 picks in the draft this year, and neither are named Manziel.

I wasn't impressed by Florida, Georgia, or LSU frankly in their bowl games. Enough to just assume they'd have beaten OU.

They all have better wins than anybody OU beat. Sooners did nothing all year to make me think they were any better than 7th best in the SEC this year.

Fla and LSU mailing in their bowl games doesn't erase their body of work.

As for GA they covered the spread, not sure what you want.

Big XII was deep but weak at the top. Iowa State as your 9th best team is pretty good.

Texas A&M gets these games on the schedule next year...

Rice
Sam Houston State
SMU
Arkansas
Ole Miss
Auburn
Vanderbilt
Miss St.
New Mexico
Missouri

Those are all horrendous games and A&M will destroy each one. Ole Miss may be interesting I suppose but who knows. Alabama and LSU are good games for the Aggies.

No GA/Fla/SC?! They should put some extra scratch in Slive's Christmas stocking for that slate.

Ha! So I'm not the only person that noticed Vandy didn't do squat this yr. I think we would have beaten them had Franklin not gotten hurt. We were moving the ball prior to him going out of the game and then just folded up shop thereafter.

Still better than anything in their entire history practically.

They had a good recruiting class too. In fact really good by their standards.

Miss St sucked. They were one of the bigger frauds in the country if an 8 win team can be considered a fraud. They were on our level more or less, just dodged all the east heavies.

If a nine win Vanderbilt ranked in the top 20 is a horrendous game, what is Oklahoma's schedule?

Those teams you list won 64 games last year. The bottom ten teams on Oklahoma's schedule won 66.

It's not as if Oklahoma has a disadvantage on the schedule. Alabama and LSU are a pretty ****ing big step up from Notre Dame and KSU.
