It's a fairly easy interface, and quite handy as a technological tool...

Did you get it through ADT or another vendor?

ADT installers will walk you through the process of using it...

I should get one of those. A downside to working from home is numerous door-to-door solicitors, that just don't read the sign at the entrance of my development that no soliciting is allowed. They're also violating local ordinances per the sheriff's office. So annoying and interrupting, even when I am on the phone.

I have a programmable doorbell. I put a different song on it every few months, because I can record a ten-second clip of anything onto it. Right now, it's Pete Townsend singing a clip from "Let My Love Open The Door".

I have the original Ring Doorbell. Its a POS. Recharging it was a royal PITA so I got the solar charger. It worked for 3 weeks.

If you call them, be prepared for an hour of irrelevant process steps before they will admit you have a bad unit. So irritating

We had a porch pirate hitting our neighborhood this week. One guy got a face, car and license plate. Two people were arrested. They stole coffee and diapers from our area. Had to be following the truck. Minutes after the delivery, the package was gone.

Then we have a producer for a local TV station as a neighbor. She had them come do a story. I am the guy in the green shirt.

I have a buddy who has one and loves it. I went another direction and installed 5 security cameras that I can check from my iPhone at any time. They also record videos when they detect motion. As far as the doorbell, I really don't think you can go wrong.

After reading the reviews I'd get this: https://www.zmodo.com/greetpro-1080p...ell-with-beam/
basic monitoring is free and you get an indoor chime without any extra cost ($199). The 720p device is only $60 and is amazon's best seller.

Ring was rejected on Shark Tank in 2013. It is worth $1 B as in Billion today.
