Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.


Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?



Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Picked up a Ruger SR22 Talo Edition (3 mags and blued barrel). Got it for $275 including 3 magazines and free shipping to my FFL. My FFL charges $15 so I out the door at $290.

Couldn't be happier.

Blue Balls/Blue Barrel. I couldn't help myself.


Yes, having a barrel that is "blued" is a good thing. It add protection to the barrel to prevent rusting, wear, etc.

With a handgun, accuracy is not a primary concern, so a chrome bore/barrel is preferred due to durability and resiliance.


If accuracy is your ultimate goal, stick with a normal barrel.


Or you can clean everything after every trip to the range (it's fun) and you won't have anything to worry about.

Just bought one for my wife she can shoot the hell out of it. Me on the other hand, my hand is to big once the trigger is back far enough to fire my hand is contorted funny and I become highly in accurate. Love it as a gun though zero misfires.

Went to the gun show out near KCI. The place was freaking packed! Saw a few deals, mostly from individuals walking around with guns for sale.

I ended up selling some .22, and now have some extra money burning a hole in my pocket. I see another Kalashnikov in my future.

I have been wanting to add a lever action to the collection for a couple years now.

Seen a Marlin 336ss 30-30 in the funstore Friday and haven't been able to get it out of my head.

I know that the older Marlins are the best (especially ones with the JM stamp on the barrel), but is there any reason not to get a new one?

The 336ss is going for 600-650, which is a little pricey but I like it since it's nice and shiny.
