What if Boxxy was your GM?

This is what I'd have done if I'd taken over instead of Dorsey.

18.76M in salary cap space.

Before I begin editing the FA list, feel free to throw in your thoughts. Again, I won't be able to keep the majority of these players. I just wanted a base list to start from before I start whittling away and figuring out the roster/salary cap.

Additionally, I'll adjust it and make it less "Madden-esque" because looking at the depth chart you posted, it definitely looks that way at DE. Probably OLB as well.

And safety.

Everywhere else, it would look plausible.

I really like 3 safety sub packages.

There are plenty of questions about Kenny Phillips' health, which is why he only got a 1 year deal from Philly. IMO it's realistic to think he could have come to KC.

How inexcusable of me. I didn't see your post.

You can start with this draft, and just jump in. The rules are that you'll start with the current Chiefs roster, add any free agents that they add, and then you draft your own players.

You can reject or accept any Chiefs trades as long as the involved players are still on your roster. So this year you can accept or reject the Alex Smith trade. Other than that, your roster will vary only be your differing draft picks this year, but they'll vary more as time goes on. It's fun to actually make an irreversible call and see down the line if you picked right.

Began trimming down the roster a bit. Cut down at OLB and DE

I honestly think Albert wouldn't accept that deal. Really think he wants a longer deal with more money.

Question for anyone that even remotely cares...

should I make my selections prior to the draft, during, or after so I can match it up with what players were actually available?

Personally, I'm not going to want to do it during.
