Raiders have a run of injuries so far.

Can't say it makes me sad but don't like to see anyone hurt.

Raiders run of injuries is becoming a problem
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on August 18, 2011, 11:45 AM EDT
Louis Murphy AP

Injuries are quietly starting to mount at Raiders camp.

Wide receiver Louis Murphy will miss at least the season opener after undergoing surgery this week on either an injured hamstring or his groin. Days before the surgery coach Hue Jackson swore that Murphy wasn’t even hurt.

Starting cornerback Chris Johnson also underwent an undisclosed surgery this week. Jackson said on Monday that Johnson was only missing practice this week because he was a veteran getting time off.

“Dang, I wish I would have known,” safety Michael Huff told Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune. “Nobody tells me anything.”

The Raiders think Johnson could be back for the opener. If not, rookie third round pick DeMarcus Van Dyke could be starting.

The injury issues don’t end there. Safety Mike Mitchell hasn’t practiced in two weeks. Center Samson Satele was taken to the hospital Wednesday. Wideout Chaz Schilens is hurt once again. Wideout Jacoby Ford hasn’t returned yet from a broken hand.

There is an expectation in Oakland the team will build off last year’s impressive 8-8 record, but this team has a lot of questions. They removed a successful head coach and the offensive line is in huge transition. They also lost their best player (Nnamdi Asomugha) without remotely replacing him.

We know Yahoo’s Mike Silver thinks the Raiders are going to the AFC Championship, but a slide back to 5-11 irrelevance seems more likely.

This reminds me of all the ****ing people who still blame George Bush for stuff.....

How much longer are you going to cling onto this useless stat?

You swept the afc WEST AND STILL COULDNT ****IGN MAKE THE PLAYOFFS.

You would think most intelligent people would be SHAMED of this fact.

But then again you are a broke-dick ass rood-poo Raiders fan who spends your free time on a Chiefs message board...SO yah...

I guess this is to be expected of you.

The Raiders only lost their best player, their Head Coach, their best O-Lineman, and their best receiving threat. They still have Jason Campbell on the trigger, so they're good.

It would be a 4-0 record at PileHigh as well 'cept for that Ratface thing calling the TO as Jano kicked the field goal way back in '07. Rare miss on the 2nd try. Its been Sandy Eggo thats been giving us fits till we swept them last season. Chiefsfans feel like they dodged a bullet by finishing 2 games ahead of Oakland when the AFCW faced an easy schedule. Now they are worried that they are confronted with a rougher schedule than Oakland. So they hang on to the hope that the Raiders have unraveled during the offseason as KC has built up a secret powerhouse. Hope is a dangerous thing.

Woah Jethro.. spit out the snuff.. "kant barely hear ya"

Coach : You are aware that Hue Jackson took the Raiders from 17 TD's in 2009 to 45 TD's in 2011?

Not only that but took them to the 6th highest scoring offense in the NFL

You know this right?

Their best OL?.. You just made a funny.. are we talking about Gallery? A guy thats good for 10 games a season at best?

You do know that the Raiders avg 6.8 yards a carry on the right side of their line and only 2.3 yard per carry behind Gallery

That right side of that line put the Raiders at # in rushing in the entire NFL, and it had absouletly NOTHING to do with Gallery

You do know this right?

Their best recieving threat?

Boss> Miller

You know this right?, maybe you dont.. but... you will know a man by the name of Denarious Moore.. Who you ask? Wait.. you'll soon know

Not to mention Jacoby Ford.. you remember him dontcha? He's the dude that ruined your sunday last year

Jason Campbell

He's still better than that crap Cassel that the Chiefs dumped 90 million dollars on.. hell, they spent more on Cassell than the Raider sspent of Russell

Go to youtube and type in Chief Raiders week 17

If the Chiefs have to worry about finishing ahead of the Raiders, we're way out of contention anyway. Its not like we don't acknowledge that SD is really good.

San Diego is a 10ish win team
Oakland is a 6ish win team
Denver is a 4ish win team

So your no-namers are all going to suddenly become studs? Shit, Ford is the best player on your list, and he had about 400 yards receiving IIRC.

chiefs were benficiaries of a soft schedule

They cant hang in decembers

Rolled up in the fetal position and took body shots from the Raiders at home before going into the playoffs

Then just got beat down by the Ravens

The Chiefs just cant win a playoff game.. what is it now? hell I lost count.. 25 years since they wone aplayoff game or something like that?

Good teams win in December and early January

Plastic and fake teams get bounced in rd 1

Which is what happened to the Chiefs

This is the dumbest thing in this thread.

Boss can't crack 40 catches with a Pro Bowl QB, but he's going to outproduce Zach Miller with a piece of shit Jason Campbell?

4 wins two years ago. 10 wins last year. Division Champs.

You dumb****s couldn't do better than 2-8 outside the division against that creampuff schedule? Really?

You guys are great division-mates. We can always count on the Raiders to find a way to **** up and suck.

Yeah, that doesn't have anything to do with the fact that Zach Miller played with JaFatass for several years.
