I guess I will echo everyone else's sentiment. Ugly, ugly win. But when it comes tournament time give me an ugly win over a pretty loss all day errrrrday.

Also, great play call and/or cut by EJ on the inbound.

Assuming White is guarding TT on Sunday he's due for a breakout game.

What a great year for these jayhawks. They havent played a full potential game yet in the tourney and theyre in the elite 8 against a unc team that they can totally beat if they come play their A game. I can feel it! Roys ****ed again!

KU's shooting 37% overall, 22% 3s, and 63% from the line... I hope they come out flying Sunday (while still playing good defense, of course), just like they did after grinding it out against Davidson in '08. The past couple of games have been brutal under the basket, so they might feel like they're 5 on 4 vs UNC.

You know, I was wrong last week. I said KU couldn't play any worse than that and still win. Well they just did. The defense was pretty good (apart from allowing 20 ****ing offensive rebounds), but nobody could make a shot outside five feet and they collapsed in a huge way down the stretch. That game was like facing a worse version of KSU and KU couldn't handle the toughness of it at all.

In any case, they won and I suppose that's all that really matters in this crapshoot of a tournament. They've also now played to their seed. The pressure should be off going forward. I think it also helps that UNC won the previous game, even though they are vastly superior to Ohio. Hopefully they'll go out against a team that they may view as equals and actually start playing to their potential now. We know they can win ugly, but they haven't played a good game in this entire tournament yet.

I wish I felt that, UK has so much talent, it's going to take a great effort from anybody along with UK's ( lack of ) help to derail UK's chance of winning the NC.

UK's best beats our best, I think. If we were to play them in the final, our best chance would be to turn it into an ugly game like that.

It's really hard to judge that team right now. They were awful today without Marshall and looked nothing like the incredibly efficient, fast paced offense they've been all season. Defensively, they're still great, though, and that will remain the same whether he's in the lineup or not.

Love going through the game-thread. Such a roller coaster of emotion. Great win. We haven't come close to playing our best yet. Hope we're just saving it a little bit at a time. Either way, this team has no business being in the E8. That being said, if we get a game where our side pieces (Teahen, Releford, Withey, Young) all have breakout games, we win against anyone (save Kentucky). I still think UK's best beats ours. But if that happens, we're in the National Championship and anything can happen.

What a great run. Some of the most fun and frustration I've had as a Jayhawk fan. Wouldn't trade it for anything.
