The Browns should only take a QB in the 2014 first round if he's a sure thing
Right? I mean, that's what I've been told by numerous people on this forum.

The QB need for them is now pretty damn dire, but they shouldn't draft one just to draft one. Only if he's the right guy!

They can't afford another busted QB, right?

Don't you realize that every rookie QB is the worst-case scenario on here? The Browns would clearly be better off trading for TJ Yates.

I wouldn't count out the possibility of them trading for Cam Newton in the offseason.

Rivera's a goner and Gettleman and the new HC will likely want their own guy.

Gettelman's already put the team and Newton on notice. Personally, I love Cam Newton but he was doomed this season the second that Mike Shula was hired as his OC. He ****ing sucks ass and makes Brian Daboll look like Bill Walsh.

I wouldn't be shocked if Chud and Gettleman did business because it's obvious that Cam shined under Chud.

Mike Shula was promoted to OC after being the only QB coach that Cam Newton has had in the NFL.

Shula was a decent QB at Alabama and he had a lot to do with Cam Newton starting off his career with incredible production.

You have not even watched any Panthers games this year. They could have beat Seattle if not for a fumble inside the Seattle 20 in the fourth quarter. Not quite sure how you blame the OC for calling plays on a 4th quarter drive that moves the ball all the way down the field against one of the NFL's best defenses just because a player funmbles at the end of a 15 yard run.

You are going to say that Rod Chudsinsky is so much better than the QB coach that he hired. Good grief, you have a lot of nerve criticizing Mike Shula as an OC when he have not watched the Panthers play this year and you did not even know that he has been Cam Newton's coach all along.

I don't see Newton being dealt unless he totally tanks the season and plays like dog shit.... or has some bizarre of the field issues.

He'll probably be part of the package the new coach will be required by the owner to take on.
