Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

That's realistically 7 teams that are going to be fighting for 6 spots. You can maybe (with Alex Smith) put Kansas City in the On the Rise section. Even if the Chiefs somehow get into a WC spot.....they're going to playing a team like Baltimore, Houston Or Indy. That's a tough game on the road to have to win.
In todays NFL teams have to be able to put up 35 points a game to be really competive and have a shot in the playoffs. The defenses are only good to contain the good offenses. I look at Alex Smith and don't see him being the trigger man for an offense to put up 35 points a game. We had the worse point offense in the league or one of the worse and I don't see Alex Smith being much of an upgrade to change that.

It's really going suck balls watching Alex Smith play QB for the Chiefs.

not fighting here, just stating the facts. Neither the ravens, nor the 49ers averaged anywhere near that.

Are you out of your ****ing mind?

The 10th best offense in the league put up 25...and won a SB. Only 2 teams in the entire league put up better than 30. Green Bay, with the best QB in the league, put up 27 PPG. No team in NFL history has put up 35 points/gm.

Smith can be a 24-25 PPG quarterback with the right system. Is it ideal? No, but it'll work.

They were able to put up the points when they had too. Of course not every game but to have the ability to put up big points. We are going count on JC to make this offense rolling and we are in trouble with out JC making this offense rolling. I think it's a big risk to ask a lot out of Alex Smith to pass a bunch and count on him to make all the throws. I don't have any confidence in him to make it through the season even.

Did you just start following this team? You might want to read JoPos article today, and catch up.

You are kidding right? Who do they report to and who hired them? You really think all of that is coincidental decision making by Carl, Pioli and now Dorsey? Seriously?

I have this bridge that is a really good deal....
