Alex Smith has too much upside learning from Patrick Mahomes II on the deep ball and looking like an actual quarterback.

Siemian having a limited physical skill set is something I hear a lot, but I'm not sure I see it. He certainly looks more Pennington than Cutler, but he doesn't really play like it.

This week will be fun to watch Smith. Will he revert back to the guy we saw early in the Pats game who sacked himself, threw short of the sticks and hesitated to go downfield, or has the addition of Mahomes transformed him into the QB who flashed against the Saints and Colts in the playoffs and who balled for three quarters against the Pats?

Obviously Siemian was the more productive player last year, while Smith had his fluke game that makes everyone think he's not an albatross for 2017.
Give Siemian more than 1 game. He threw a pick 6 that was somehow dropped last night.

He's Trent Green.

If his mechanics are off everything goes to hell.

He's basically as good as his OL.

I agree. Wait...when did Alex have a pick 6 dropped in NE?

Are you ****ing kidding me? The pass went right through Pat Chung's hands.

This was definitely going back for a TD if he had caught it.

There is a real double standard here at work with Smith vs Siemian.

You ****ing homers.

The football gods smiled on ASS11 on that play.

It was very nearly 24-7, game over and a victory lap around CP for me this week.

Count your blessings.

Semen should've had 2 picks though.

Expectations are so low for him that people overrate him.

The only guy who had a shot at tackling Chung was Kelce, and he was standing flat footed a good 5-10 yards away. Chung isn't slow, either.

That was going back.

He spends 3 hours a day watching film, scheming against his adversaries. He will be the best prepped QB in the league.
