Cassel has a concussion.

Cassel has concussion

Matt Cassel AP

The official word after Sunday’s loss by the Chiefs to the Ravens was that quarterback Matt Cassel is being evaluated for a head injury.

The evaluation has been completed. Per a league source, Cassel has a concussion.

And so Cassel’s status will depend on evaluations and opinions from an independent neurologist, who must clear Cassel to practice and play. Until he’s cleared, he can do neither.

But almost everyone here all off year long was saying, we have so much talent, offense & defense, all Cassel has to do is not turn it over, we win.

Well ..... the whole teams is in turnover mode. Reason we are 1 - 4 and looking pathetic.

Today's game was the best all around performance we had to date this year. I'm just saying if BQ comes in and does not turn it over as Cassel does and this team continues to get better, we have a balanced game plan,we will win 7 to 8 of our final games.
We are too inconsistent to win 6 more games. Sure, sometimes the D looks good, sometimes it looks like crap. Who knows? Next week might be our easiest game, that or Carolina at home, but even with Quinn who isn't a good QB, I won't think we're going to win before any game left.

Games, I don't think you will find hardly anybody here that thought we would win a playoff game when Manning stiffed us, but here many thought we could compete if Cassel had a year like 2010.

Compete for first in a shit division and get blown out by whatever team lined up against up in our first playoff game, maybe.

And that's with Cassel having a career year.

We are in a crappy division. With the way SD is looking tonight, 11-5 is a lock in this division, they may go 12 - 4.

I would love to see them play BQ long enough to see if he can turn his career around in the next 3 games and then let Stanzi have it to see if he can cut it. Face it, we are not winning this division this year but we have questions we need answers to about this team & certain players.

We already have our answer on Cassel. Have known it for sometime, I'm not for blowing games for the sake of blowing,, if so we leave Cassel in. But I think we need to see what we have with the other 2 QB's, I think we will win 1/2 of those games easily with BQ or RS @ QB. A few lucky bounces and we win 7 of those and really screw up the draft choice and end up with all 3 of the stooges.

Matt Cassel has proven that he's a tough guy and that he wants to be on the field.
For that, I appreciate what he's done here. He's not Grbac with a pinky issue.
He hit his head on the ground. It happens and it can KO a sonnabitch.

What he is NOT is a starting caliber NFL quarterback.

The Chiefs will never win a playoff game with #7 under center. Ever.
If his unfortunate injury is what puts Quinn on the field and he shits the bed, then the Chiefs will have no choice but to properly address that position.

If Brady Quinn isn't awesome, I actually hope he shits the bed so bad the chiefs have no choice but to draft a 1st round QB.

I'm tired of supporting a shit team.

if the team or it's management don't like it.....#get over it

Better check that scoreboard again. We are only a couple of games out of 1st if the score holds up.

Watch. We will rally the troops and go 8-3 from here out
Very doubtful. Without at least a half decent offense, there's no way the Chiefs are going to make the playoffs this year. You can't expect a team to enter the post season successfully with a Top 15 defense and a bottom 5 offense, or vice versa. Some are going to "well, many thought the Chiefs would only get 4 wins last year, and they finished 7-9." With the exception of the Seahawks' fluke a couple of seasons ago, no other NFL team has ever made the playoffs with less than an 8-8 season.
